1. Breen goes bang

Franck Moron
was recording his 1,000th point for Shawsheen boys' basketball. Teammate
Matt Breen
wasn't far behind. The senior notched his 1,000th during a 21-point, 16-rebound performance in the Rams' 71-51 win over Bedford.
Breen became the eighth member of Shawsheen's 1,000-point club. He and Moron are the first two additions since coach
Joseph Gore
reached the mark in 2008.
'It's been a total full-circle moment. I couldn't be any more proud of the two of them and how they've come along since freshman year,' said Gore. 'Being able to be a part of that next person's journey and being able to witness that is a surreal moment.'

3. Sayonara Sunday meets
With a winter storm expected to arrive Saturday night and last into Sunday, the MIAA moved its boys' swimming and diving Division 5 track and field championships.
The Division 5 track meet, originally slated for Sunday at the Reggie Lewis Center, has been pushed to Monday at 1 p.m.

The Division 1 and 2 boys' swim championships, scheduled for Sunday at Boston University, also were postponed, with no makeup date announced yet.
'Our efforts are to finalize the date and time for the rescheduled meets to sometime next weekend,' the MIAA stated. 'We are working to confirm the postponed date by Saturday.'
