Two-day classical dance event in Bengaluru
This week, the city will witness two classical dance events that celebrate both emerging talent and the revered guru-shishya tradition.
The Narthan Academy of Dance and Music (NADAM) will host the 17th edition of Chinna Kalanadam, a classical arts festival dedicated to children, on July 11 and 12. The event will feature performances by over 160 young artists from 26 dance and music schools across the region. Held at Ravindra Kalakshetra on J.C. Road, the festival will begin at 5.30 p.m. on both days. Entry is free and open to all.
In tribute to the guiding lights of classical dance, the Natanam School of Dance will present 'Acharya Devo Bhava,' a Bharatanatyam performance honoring gurus—past, present, and eternal. The event, led by Raksha Karthik and her disciples, will take place at Vyoma Art Space in J.P. Nagar on Sunday starting at 5 p.m.
