At the centre of the storm is Nandini Kashyap, an actress from Assam whose car apparently hit the student on road. Onlookers revealed she didn't stop and ran away. Student named Samiul Haque was rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to injuries four days later, after which the Assam actress was Kashyap is a young emerging Assamese actress, model, and dancer from Guwahati who started her career with music videos. Fondly known by the name Nikita, she began her career in 2018 with music videos. The 2025 movie is also a hit at the box July 25, at around 3 am in Guwahati's Dakhingaon area, a 21-year-old student named Samiul Haque was hit by a vehicle (a Scorpio SUV), which was allegedly driven by actress Nandini who also worked with the Guwahati Municipal Corporation, was reportedly repairing the street light when the incident took eyewitnesses, as well as the CCTV footage, have both confirmed that the car that hit the student didn't stop after the collision.
