Hadley Asparagus Fest bumped to 2026 by weather, logistics
HADLEY — NEPM's Asparagus Festival was canceled this past Saturday because of weather, and organizers decided against moving the event to another day this year because of costs and logistics.
The event — held on the Hadley Town Common — became too risky last week with heavy rain, thunderstorms and lightning in the forecast, NEPM said in a statement on Monday.
'After careful consideration, we've made the difficult decision to forego a rain date this year and bring the NEPM Asparagus Festival back in 2026,' the news outfit said 'When we looked at the costs and logistics of rescheduling, it became clear that it would not be practical or responsible to proceed.'
