What Bills' Josh Allen said about James Cook's contract holdout

Josh Allen fully supports James Cook as hold-in continues. Allen said business side is hardest part of NFL.'This is generational stuff. It's for you & your family. He's still going through mental reps. He's a pro; he knows what he's doing. We desperately want him out there.' Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has given his thoughts on the ongoing contract situation between his team and running back James Cook. The Pro Bowl rusher has now missed five-straight training camp practices as he is holding out of workouts in an effort to get a contract extension. All Cook has said is he is not working out because of "business." The reason seems clear considering the situation has gone on for months. When asked about Cook's situation, Allen did his best to play both sides of the ledger. Allen wants Cook out on the field... but the QB understands what is going on. "He's a pro, knows what he's doing. We desperately want him out there," Allen said. Allen's full thoughts can be found in the clip below:

ACC Media Days: Boston College's Bill O'Brien Slams NCAA Chaos

Boston College head coach Bill O'Brien offered a candid take on the current state of college football during ACC Football Kickoff, contrasting it sharply with the structure of the NFL."They keep comparing it to the NFL," O'Brien said. "It's not the NFL. The NFL has a CBA, there's a union, there's an enforcement body over it. There's structure to the NFL. There's 32 teams. This is the wild, wild west."O'Brien believes change is coming-but slowly. "I think you wash it all away, I really do," he said. "In the NFL, as you guys know, there's a legal tampering period before free agency… maybe down the road there's something like that for college football. I don't know that."He added, "I'm really focused on Boston College. But I do think over the course of time, over the next four, five years it can hopefully be regulated a little bit better." Boston College went 7-6 last year but struggled down the stretch, losing five of its last eight games including a bowl defeat to year's schedule offers some relief. Between October 11 and the finale at Syracuse, BC makes only one road trip-to Louisville. Matchups against Clemson, Notre Dame, and SMU will be tough, but all are at modest roster upgrades and a history of six- and seven-win seasons, another bowl trip feels within reach. Rees-Zammit 'never thought about rugby return'

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Louis Rees-Zammit says he has "never thought about" returning to play rugby 24-year-old made a shock switch from rugby to American football in January 2024, but failed to make a regular season appearance in his rookie the lack of playing time Rees-Zammit, who won 32 Wales rugby caps, is as determined as ever to succeed in the NFL."I've never thought about going back to rugby," Rees-Zammit told BBC Sport Wales."It hasn't been in my head that I'm not going to do this, I've always wanted this."The second it [returning to rugby] creeps into your head you start doubting yourself and that's not going to happen with me." Rees-Zammit re-signed for the Jaguars on Monday, after Jacksonville had initially opted not to sign him on a reserve/future contract in new deal means Rees-Zammit will form part of the Jaguars' off-season roster, which can include as many as 90 next goal for the former Gloucester and 2021 British and Irish Lions wing, is to be selected on an active regular-season means Rees-Zammit would have to survive the cut from 90 players down to 53, something he was unable to achieve with Kansas City Chiefs in 2024."The first step of the dream is to make an active roster, I'm doing everything I can to make that happen," said Rees-Zammit."This is my dream, and the way I make it come true is by working as hard as I can to make the roster."Every day is a challenge, every day is hard hard work, but it is one that for this dream to come true is worth doing."I'm doing everything I can to become a better player on the field and a better person off the field, so I'm really looking forward to this season." While Rees-Zammit returns to the franchise, the same cannot be said for a significant portion of the coaching off-season the Jaguars have parted ways with their head coach, Doug Pederson, their offensive and defensive co-ordinators, as well as their General Manager Trent have since named Liam Coen as their new head coach, after his impressive season as Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive and the coaches he has hired to support him, have brought renewed hope to a franchise that won just four games last season."They are another reason I wanted to sign for the Jaguars, it's so exciting this project," added Rees-Zammit."It's something I want to be a part of, I want to learn as much as I can."The Buccaneers offense was so good last year, and we have some serious weapons in our squad."There's so much potential, and these coaches will help unleash everyone."
