Von Miller, still a free agent, comments on potential Broncos reunion

Von Miller remains a free agent and his continued love for the Denver Broncos has been well-documented. So, could he return to the Broncos this season? Miller is competing at the NFLPA Classic in Mexico this week and he spoke with Kay Adams on the "Up and Adams Show" on Tuesday. Miller is golfing with former and current Broncos at the tournament, and Adams asked him directly if he would like to rejoin Denver's team. Advertisement "I mean, you just have to see," Miller said. "I've always loved the blue and orange. You just have to see. It's a fun time right now for me and my career, and you just have to wait and see, take it one day at a time. Just have fun and wait and see." Miller said not knowing what comes next for him has been a fun and exciting experience while looking at new teams with new quarterbacks. He also told Adams he wants to join a winning team. Miller certainly didn't rule out the possibility of returning to Denver, but it remains to be seen if the club will pursue him. It's unclear what Miller's asking price is these days, but at age 36, he won't command the salary he once did. Advertisement The Broncos have limited salary cap space remaining, but if Miller was willing to sign a team-friendly deal, a reunion could make sense for Denver. We will continue to monitor the free agent's status and any future updates on Broncos Wire. He lost "The Match" alongside Allen in 2022 before beating Steph Curry and Klay Thompson in the 2023 iteration of the event alongside his teammate, Travis Kelce. Kay Adams thought Courtland Sutton hit her with a golf ball (he didn't)

Kay Adams thought Courtland Sutton hit her with a golf ball (he didn't) I was told it was Courtland Sutton & it was not. 😂 Sorry @SuttonCourtland we are scrubbing it out of the broadcast! 😂 — Kay Adams (@heykayadams) March 26, 2025 Courtland Sutton and several of his former Denver Broncos teammates competed in the third annual NFLPA Classic in Mexico earlier this week. FanDuel TV's Kay Adams was at the golf tournament to provide coverage on the Up & Adams show and interview players (including Von Miller). It turned out to be an eventual trip for Adams. "of course I got hit with a golf ball of course. @NFLPA," Adams tweeted Wednesday. She later asked on Twitter/X: "who hit me with the golf ball?" She also jokingly suggested that her "neck hurts" following the incident. Somebody apparently told Adams it was Sutton who struck the ball, but that turned out to be inaccurate. We found out on Friday that it was actually Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn who accidentally hit Adams on the course. "They tell me, it's Courtland Sutton that hit me," Adams said in a video posted on her Twitter/X page. "I was [jokingly] like, 'I'm suing you, I'm mad at you, I can't believe you just did that. And then we found the culprit [Fairbairn]." Wanna see me get hit by a golf ball? LAWYER UP, Ka'imi Fairbairn. — Kay Adams (@heykayadams) March 28, 2025 Adams joked about a neck injury but it seems no harm was actually done, and Sutton's in the clear. Lions TE Sam LaPorta on Ben Johnson leaving for Bears: 'It hurts'

Sam LaPorta is going through a breakup. Now he has to watch his ex-offensive coordinator live life with a bitter rival. The Detroit Lions drafted the tight end in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft partly because of then-offensive coordinator Ben Johnson's impact. Johnson is now set to call the Windy City home in 2025 after being hired as the head coach of the NFC North rival Chicago Bears. During an appearance on the "Up & Adams" show on Wednesday at the NFLPA Classic golf tournament in Mexico, LaPorta spoke with Kay Adams about his feelings surrounding the move, joking that Johnson will be a friend-turned-enemy. Advertisement "Of course, happy for Ben," LaPorta said. "He was one of the big reasons they brought me into the Lions. Nothing but respect for him, but again, on Sunday afternoons this fall, there will be friends turned to enemies." NFL MOCK DRAFT: AI predicts the entire first round The tight end added that the move hurt, but ultimately he is happy for his former coach. "It hurts, of course," LaPorta said. "You spend a lot of time with these people, invest a lot of energy and effort and hard work together. You know it's mutual, you're excited that he's gonna run his own team and organization and have a lot on his plate. So, just very exciting times for him, and it is exciting times for us too as we turn towards our new staff and have a bright future as well." Advertisement While the attention is focused on what the Lions lost, not much has been paid to the guy set to take over, John Morton. He spent the 2022 season with Detroit as a senior offensive assistant, but LaPorta didn't arrive until after the coach's departure. The tight end hasn't spoken to Morton at length but is eager to see how he operates when OTAs begin. "I've sat down with Johnny Mo for maybe 10 or 15 minutes, gotten to know him personally," LaPorta said. "But as a coach, it's yet to be determined. We have a great future in front of us, we're excited to work with each other, and I can't wait to get working with him here in OTAs here shortly." Johnson is set to find out if the grass is greener on the other side. LaPorta and the Lions will soon learn if Johnson is the one who got away.
