Courtland Sutton and several of his former Denver Broncos teammates competed in the third annual NFLPA Classic in Mexico earlier this week.
FanDuel TV's Kay Adams was at the golf tournament to provide coverage on the Up & Adams show and interview players (including Von Miller). It turned out to be an eventual trip for Adams.
"of course I got hit with a golf ball of course. @NFLPA," Adams tweeted Wednesday.
She later asked on Twitter/X: "who hit me with the golf ball?" She also jokingly suggested that her "neck hurts" following the incident.
Somebody apparently told Adams it was Sutton who struck the ball, but that turned out to be inaccurate.
We found out on Friday that it was actually Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn who accidentally hit Adams on the course.
"They tell me, it's Courtland Sutton that hit me," Adams said in a video posted on her Twitter/X page. "I was [jokingly] like, 'I'm suing you, I'm mad at you, I can't believe you just did that. And then we found the culprit [Fairbairn]."

Adams joked about a neck injury but it seems no harm was actually done, and Sutton's in the clear.

In an interview with DJ Siddiqi of ClutchPoints, Pat Surtain II spoke about Nix and what he sees in the quarterback when he's on the field. 'I feel like he's all about football, but when he is off the field, he's an advocate towards God and spreading that word out towards the locker room. When you have a person that follows that role, you just look to him in the highest ways. He's a great teammate, a great person as well too, a great leader.' People have been talking about Nix like he's been a veteran in the league for some time, and it seems like he caught on to the playbook at a fast pace as well. With a head coach such as Sean Payton, who has won at a high level before, Nix will continue to develop as a solid quarterback in the league and will be put in the right situations to do so. This has largely been due to the team's inability to effectively find talent, especially in the early rounds of the NFL Draft. However, the team picked one of the most surefire prospects in recent memory this season when they chose Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty with the No. 6 overall pick. Former Raiders wide receiver Tim Lee-Imagn Images While Jeanty has been compared to Hall of Fame running backs like LaDainian Tomlinson, Barry Sanders and Marcus Allen, former Raiders wide receiver Tim Brown went a different route. Advertisement He spoke on Tuesday's edition of the Up & Adams show and compared Jeanty to a surprising former Raider. "The guy that he really reminds me of is Napoleon Kaufman," Brown said. "I think Napoleon came into the league very undersized body, or whatever. But I mean, he had the ability to return punts and kicks and do a lot of great things. And his ability to hit a hole and explode was really, really amazing." Kaufman did not have a superb NFL career despite being drafted in the first round by the Raiders in 1995. He contributed just one campaign of over 1,000 rushing yards and played only six NFL seasons before retiring. Given the draft capital that the Silver and Black just invested in Jeanty, him having a similar career to Kaufman would be underwhelming. Advertisement Jeanty was regarded head-and-shoulders above Kaufman as a college prospect, considering he ran for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns last season for Boise State. Under head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, Jeanty should see a high volume of carries during his rookie season. Barring injury, this workload would all but guarantee him eclipsing Kaufman's 490 rushing yards as a rookie. Brown may be tempering the expectations of Raiders fans, but Jeanty is showing signs of blowing Kaufman's career out of the water.
