NHL Trade Rumors: New York Rangers and Anaheim Ducks in talks regarding Chris Kreider trade

NHL Trade Rumors: New York Rangers and Anaheim Ducks in talks regarding Chris Kreider trade (Image Source: Getty) The New York Rangers are cutting down on their salary cap, which means they are cutting off players. In the list, there's Chris Kreider, who has been a Ranger for most part of his career. As per several sources, the New York Rangers are looking to trade Kreider and Anaheim Ducks are willing to take him on the team. While there has been no solid deal, chances are that both parties will agree to a deal before the NHL Finals Game 4 commences. Chris Kreider might play for the Ducks in next season Last year, the New York Rangers GM Chris Drury reportedly sent a memo to all 31 NHL teams stating that the team is willing to trade some of its players. That memo included names like Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba, the latter was a former Rangers captain. Once the Trouba trade was done with the Ducks, rumors have been spreading that the Rangers would be sending Kreider to the Ducks in order to cut off their salary cap. As per Frank Servalli, an NHL Insider, there have been "advanced discussions' regarding a deal between the Rangers and Ducks that would send Kreider to the latter. Though there has been no confirmation yet, Servalli stated that a deal might be on the table by Wednesday. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Köln: GEERS sucht 700 Testhörer für Hörgeräte ohne Zuzahlung GEERS Undo To support his claims, the Rangers' beat writer Vince Mercogliano, also stated that he has been hearing the same news from several insider sources. As per Mercogliano, there have been talks that the Ducks will handle the remaining $6.5 million remaining in Kreider's contract with the Rangers. Whether it's true or not, will be revealed soon. Kreider is one of the longest-standing players of the Rangers. He was picked by the Rangers in 2012 and has been playing dedicatedly for the team since then. Kreider's 48 goals in the Stanley Cup playoffs is still the highest in the franchise till now. Despite that, the Rangers want to trade their star player and make room in the salary cap. However, one of the driving forces behind this trade could be Kreider's inability to perform in the last two seasons, the reason being multiple injuries. Kreider suffered from vertigo and a broken hand which put the player on pause for a long time.
