Kanoo Motors Rolling Drag Night to bring unique thrills to BIC strip tomorrow
Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), 'The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East', brings the excitement back to the drag strip on Thursday (Editor's note: 20 February) with the widely popular Kanoo Motors Rolling Drag Night. The event offers motorsport enthusiasts the opportunity to engage in head-to-head battles in their very own cars or motorbikes with fellow-speed lovers down BIC's world-class quarter-mile drag strip. Interested participants can invite their family or friends for an exciting one-on-one challenge. But instead of a traditional standing start, they will begin their run at a rolling speed of 80kph. Thursday's event is scheduled for 7pm to 12midnight. The cost to be a part of the Kanoo Motors Rolling Drag Night is BD22 for each driver or rider. Spectators can watch from the stands for a fee of BD2. Just as in all activities at the circuit, safety is paramount for all taking part. Cars and motorbikes must go through scrutineering before being able to hit the BIC strip, which is a part of the NHRA Worldwide Network of the U.S.-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). Kanoo Motors Rolling Drag Night makes for a unique experience, putting fans into an engaging, yet friendly, duel. Both participants will be able to push their vehicles to their limit within the secure and controlled environment at BIC. Meanwhile, also available on Thursday is BIC's most mind-boggling passenger ride: the Dragster Experience. Known as 'The Fastest Ride on Earth', fans will have a chance to get a taste of pure speed as they are taken from zero to 100kph in just one second while in the cockpit of a 10,500cc Top Dragster. The Dragster Experience is available at BD44 for the first passenger while a second passenger can get 50 per cent off.

Drag and Drift Nights returns at BIC today
Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), 'The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East', will be raising the temperature tonight with one of its most popular fan experiences in Sakhir. The Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights will be lighting up the circuit's quarter-mile drag strip and vast drift park for twice the excitement in one event. Participants will be able to bring their very own cars or motorbikes and push them to their limits in either the drag racing or the drifting. There is also the option to do both, making for a unique and memorable evening at BIC. The BIC drag strip is highly regarded as one of the best in the world, and it is a part of the prestigious NHRA Worldwide Network of the U.S.-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). BIC's vehicle dynamics area features a specially configured layout for drifters. It is surrounded by safety barriers and is one of the largest open tarmac areas in Bahrain, making for an ideal venue to put on an amazing display of power sliding within a secure environment. Monday's Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights is scheduled to take place from 6pm to 11pm. Both the drag racing and the drifting can be done for a single fee of BD11. Participation in just the drag racing or just the drifting costs BD8. Those who would like to join in on the drag or drifting as a passenger can get into a participant's car for an additional fee of BD4.500. Registration for those wishing to join can be done on site. Aside from the drag racing and drifting, also available for thrill-seekers Monday night is the Dragster Experience. This is BIC's most adrenaline-pumping passenger activity, known as 'The Fastest Ride on Earth', and it takes one or two passengers at a time in an iconic Top Dragster, where they go from zero to 100kph in a mind-boggling one second. The Dragster Experience is available at BD44 for the first passenger, while a second passenger can get 50 per cent off.
