EFLU thanks UP govt for land for Lucknow campus

Lucknow: English and Foreign Languages University, regional campus welcomed its Chancellor Prof N Nagaraju, on his first visit to the campus following the UP govt's transfer of 5.5 acre land to Lucknow Campus. Director of the regional campus, Prof Rajneesh Arora, expressed gratitude to UP govt, especially chief minister Yogi Adityanath and MLA (Sarojini Nagar) Dr Rajeshwar Singh, for their role in facilitating the land allotment and also thanked the Vice Chancellor for his leadership. Registrar Prof M Hari Prasad emphasised importance of small acts of kindness and linked them to national initiatives like 'Nasha Mukti Abhiyan' and 'Har Ghar Tiranga'. Member Secretary, ICSSR, New Delhi, Prof Dhananjay Singh, traced evolution of Indian education from the colonial era to the present and underscored importance of integrating Indian languages into mainstream curricula, acknowledging India's sustainable development ethos, while highlighting potential of linguistic heritage in shaping AI and strengthening the cultural influence of the Global South.
