NSDC International to train 0.1 million candidates as caregivers to meet global demand
Live Events (You can now subscribe to our (You can now subscribe to our Economic Times WhatsApp channel The National Skills Development Corporation International (NSDCI), subsidiary of India' apex skill development body the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), said it will train 0.1 million candidates as caregivers to meet the steady increase in demand for these workers across the a statement issued on Tuesday, NSDCI said until now, the organisation has placed thousands of skilled caregivers across various countries, including Germany, Japan, UK and includes not just core care skills but also soft skill training as well as language skills, including English, German, Japanese, to enhance employability of these candidates globally.'As the world today strives to accomplish the Sustainable Development Goal-3 which deals with good health and wellbeing, NSDC International is leaving no stone unturned to facilitate global action towards accomplishing universal health coverage,' Alok Kumar, CEO, NSDC International, to Kumar, NSDCI has designed tailored programmes specific to each country and their requirements and is also actively exploring partnership opportunities with national and global institutions to train candidates with relevant skills to mitigate healthcare challenges 'We have successfully deployed thousands of skilled caregivers across the world and are steadily revising our targets, accelerating our actions, and ensuring seamless integration of skilled professionals into the healthcare ecosystem,' he is of the view that many countries are struggling to cater to the burgeoning professionals' demand, which ultimately affect their delivery.'Till now, NSDCI has partnered with Canada, USA, UK, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Japan and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to help them meet their future demand,' it International is responsible for driving international partnerships , consulting, and workforce mobility solutions by leveraging India's experience in designing and delivering large-scale skilling works with governments, industry bodies, and multilateral agencies to co-create human capital development solutions aligned with local economic goals.

India nurturing over a million entrepreneurs: Jayant Chaudhary
New Delhi: The government is nurturing over a million entrepreneurs through its ambitious programmes like Startup India, Skill India and Atal Innovation Mission, Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary has stressed. Addressing the 'TiEcon 2025' conference in the US via a video message, the minister said India today stands at a powerful inflection point where innovation, enterprise, and skills are converging to shape a new global narrative. 'Across every corner of our nation, entrepreneurs are solving real problems, building sustainable ventures, and creating scalable impact,' he told the gathering. At the conference, a high-level Indian delegation comprising leaders in deep-tech, climate innovation, healthcare, AI, and digital transformation showcased the country's expanding role as a global innovation partner. The delegation reflected India's entrepreneurial spirit rooted in resilience, inclusion, and purpose-driven development. Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, also had a brief interaction about India's skill ecosystem and about of NSDC's initiatives, and how the organisation is equipping Indian youth with job-ready and future-ready skills. Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International, said, 'AI is transforming the world in ways we never imagined which necessitates proactive measures to navigate the challenges and harness the opportunities it brings. This collaboration represents a significant leap in NSDC International's global consulting footprint and underscores India's growing leadership in enabling future-ready workforce ecosystems worldwide, NSDC said in a statement issued on Wednesday. 'This partnership reflects our shared commitment to shaping the future of skills and work. Through this collaboration with Takamol, we aim to contribute to Saudi Arabia's human capital ambitions with globally benchmarked, locally relevant skilling solutions aligned to the latter's Vision 2030 ,' Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and managing director of NSDC International said. Further, the two organisations have expressed intent to deepen their partnership across areas such as sector-specific workforce development strategies in emerging and traditional industries, digital skilling frameworks and future skills integration, certification systems and qualification frameworks tailored to local and global employment standards. Besides, they will also collaborate on skilling programs for expatriates and Saudi nationals to improve employability and productivity while also designing pathways for international mobility and skill verification aligned with global standards.
