Aussie men's netball team captain reveals shocking backlash for viral dance

Aussie men's netball team captain Liam Forcadilla has opened up about the shocking extent of abuse his side endured after their viral dance routine at the World FAST5 Championships in New Zealand last October. The Aussie side, known as the Kelpies, got the crowd on their feet at the tournament with moves staged to NSync's Bye Bye Bye, which quickly went viral with millions of views. The crowd in Christchurch's Wolfbrook Arena responded well to the choreographed moves - and commentators also lapped it up. Forcadilla says it was the next day that the team realised that they were copping shocking abuse online. 'We had the two games on the Saturday, and we did the dance in the morning, so there wasn't much time to look on our phones,' Forcadilla told News Corp. 'After, it had been posted by many news outlets and had really gone viral, and there were some really great and positive comments. The Aussies get the men's tournament underway with an awesome dance 👏👏 Stream FAST5 Netball LIVE & FREE on @7plus 👉 — 7Sport (@7Sport) November 9, 2024 The Aussie side got the crowd on their feet at the World FAST5 Championships with their dance routine to NSync's Bye Bye Bye - but the backlash they received was shocking 'We saw a few negative ones here and there, but we had that after doing the Nutbush the year before, so we were expecting it.' The team coach called Forcadilla the following day and informed him of the extent of the backlash. Abuse included homophobic slurs, threats, personal attacks and some racism across different social media platforms. It was decided that the side would avoid their phones until they had played South Africa. 'It was never about a dance and going viral. We've had a job to do and that was to win a gold medal for our country,' he said. 'But it wasn't just about like protecting our space and making sure that we had a job to focus on. It was also the fact that we had a 15-year-old in our team. 'We had a boy who was 18 who was doing his HSC in between our games. It was about protecting them.' Forcadilla explained that many viewers wouldn't have understood that the FAST5 series is meant to be fast and fun, unlike regular netball. The hateful abuse the team received marred the occasion for the entire squad. 'It definitely got to a point where it was a little bit overwhelming,' Forcadilla said. 'It's something that I wasn't quite used to. And I think that it was more that I felt like I had a responsibility to do and say the right thing and to educate people on what it is that we do and who we are. 'And I think that's the thing that was maybe the heaviest.' The Aussie skipper has challenged detractors to educate themselves on the sport and to come and watch a game. 'I'd love for them to come down and watch a game,' he said. 'I guarantee you will be impressed by our athleticism, how we interpret netball, and we will show you that it's not just a game for women, it's a game for men as well.'

Justin Timberlake Went From Boy-Band to Boy Dad! Meet the Singer's Sons With Wife Jessica Biel

Justin Timberlake said bye, bye, bye to his boy-band days and hello to parenthood! The former 'NSync frontman and wife Jessica Biel expanded their family after getting married in 2012 and have since navigated raising two kids. Most celebrity parents are adamant about keeping the privacy of their children intact, Justin and Jessica just aim to be normal parents. 'I try to be conscious of making sure we can live a life where we're not weirdly private,' the 'Rock Your Body' artist said during a 2021 appearance on Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast. "But we're conscious of making sure they can be kids for as long as possible and not have the weight of somebody else treating them differently because of something that their parents do." The Hollywood stars welcomed their first child, son Silas, in April 2015. They enjoyed their first months with their baby in private before sharing about their 'amazing experience' publicly. "It's an amazing, amazing experience. Incredibly hard — the hardest job in the world, and I've never been more thankful and grateful to my own mother," the 7th Heaven actress said on the Today show that October. Silas' little brother, Phineas, joined the family sometime in summer 2020 and made sure his famous parents had no time to sleep. 'He's awesome and so cute. Nobody's sleeping. But we're thrilled. We're thrilled and couldn't be happier. Very grateful," Justin said on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in January 2021. Five months later, Jessica agreed that it seemed like they kept the birth of their youngest son a secret, but that wasn't the case. 'I had, like, a secret COVID baby. It wasn't like it was supposed to be a secret. It was, just COVID happened, and then I went to Montana with my family and never left," the Candy star explained on the "Armchair Expert" podcast. More recently, Justin celebrated Father's Day in 2021 while honoring those who showed him how to be a good father. 'Being a dad is better than I ever could have imagined,' he wrote via Instagram. 'Thankful to my dads and my grandfathers for leading the way, making the sacrifices for me to live out my dreams, and for teaching me that REAL LIFE happens in all the little moments. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!!!' Jessica revealed in a May 2025 interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that Phineas has started getting sassy with her. 'Let me tell you, the new phrase for my 4-year-old is, 'Mom, you have the worst ideas,'' she said. 'I'm like, he's 4 years old. I'm like, are we, we're already there?' She said Silas feels the same way when she cheers him on at his baseball games, even if she just says, 'Good job.' 'I am so lame to them,' she joked. Phineas is a little too young to understand his parents' stardom, let alone know what words mean. However, his older brother is well aware that his Grammy-winning father sings popular songs, and his mother is a TV star. Does he care? Nope. "Whenever he hears daddy's song he'll go 'Oh yeah, that's Dad. No big deal, whatever,'' Jessica revealed during a 2021 appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. Not only that, but Silas refuses to watch his mother's kid friendly shows, like Pete the Cat. "I tried to get him to watch the show, he will not watch. And yet he says, 'Hey mom, hey mom, do one of those voices from the show' and I'm like 'But you've never seen the show you don't even know,'' she continued. 'He's just like 'just do it mom,' so I'll do one of the voices and he'll be like, 'cool mom, cool.'' Though Jessica and Justin typically keep their boys out of the spotlight, Silas made a rare appearance at the U.S. Open with his mom in August 2024. Jessica told InStyle all about how she prepped her son for the event in a May 2025 interview. 'My son was 9 at the time, and he's a huge tennis fan — that's his sport, that's what he plays. We had this opportunity, and we talked about it. We talked about photographers. You know, 'Are you comfortable with that?'' she said. Jessica continued, 'He can't make these decisions on his own, but at this point, we can at least discuss what's his opinion around it. You really want to give your kids every experience. I don't know if it was the right decision, to be honest with you, but he and I had a good time. … It's scary every time. But it's also their life. And so it's this really tricky, tricky thing to figure out, what's appropriate.'

Downfall of the noughties' most notorious love rat: What happened to model James Gooding who BLAMED girlfriend Kylie for his stint in rehab - after he cheated and called her 'self-obsessed and friendless'

Kylie Minogue called him her 'delightful scruff from Essex' and with few male models ever becoming household names, the fame afforded by dating one of the world's biggest popstars should have been a dream come true for James Gooding. However, the model turned-photographer, now 50, admitted to cheating on the singer during their on-off relationship, and later branded her a 'self-obsessed, virtually friendless control freak' in a scathing tell-all interview. 'I fear she's going to end up a lonely spinster with only a cat for company,' he said of the singer, now 56, who he also accused of 'ruining' his life, while also holding her responsible for a drinks and drugs bender at the end of their three-year relationship that resulted in a stint in rehab. But while Gooding, who was once Britain's highest-paid male model, had harsh words for Kylie, his own dalliances were equally unflattering in their verdicts on his character. Martine McCutcheon said he was 'cheap and disgusting,' while another ex, singer Victoria Harrison, called him a 'pathetic loser'. Slightly more forgiving was a female admirer who admitted: 'You don't know whether to slap him or snog him'. These seemed like prophetic words when Sadie Frost, who dated the model after Kylie, was cautioned for assaulting him in October 2012. Meanwhile a male friend described him as an 'incorrigible, accomplished, world-class flirt' and 'the 'Shoreditch Travolta'. James first met Kylie backstage at the Brit Awards in March 2000 and in 2002, they announced their relationship was over. But it limped on in an on-and-off fashion for another year before coming to a dramatic halt at the same ceremony in 2003, when they had colossal bust-up in front of shocked party-goers after Kylie's raunchy duet with Justin Timberlake. Gooding accused her of flirting live on stage during a duet in which the former NSync singer touched Kylie's backside. Minogue and Timberlake had followed their duet with dinner at the Montpelliano restaurant in Knightsbridge before going to the after-show party thrown by her label, EMI, at the Sanderson hotel. Gooding turned up hoping for a reconciliation with the Australian singer. Minogue's management had told doormen not to let him into the VIP area, but he sneaked in through a side entrance and found her at a table with sister Dannii as well as Timberlake and Janet Jackson. He accused her of making a mockery out of him in front of millions of Brits viewers and confronted her over her reported dates with Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay. Earlier in the evening, after watching the Brits from the audience at Earls Court, Gooding said with apparent sarcasm: 'Yeah, I really enjoyed it tonight. My favourite part of the whole evening was Justin and Kylie's duet.' Asked how he felt when Timberlake fondled Minogue's behind, he said: 'That really made the performance for me - it was the best bit.' He later admitted that after seeing Justin put his hands on Kylie's bottom during the dance routine, he had taken a cocktail of tranquillisers, cocaine and whiskey. He said: 'I took a potentially lethal dose of 15 Temazepam tablets, half a bottle of Jack Daniel's and cocaine.' Despite claiming she had ruined his life, the model boasted he had cheated on her with model Sophie Dahl after flying out to see her in New York. He had also been unfaithful with Davinia Taylor, former star of Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks. 'I've been lucky enough to have made love with many beautiful women but Kylie was a really special relationship. After making love with Sophie I was racked with guilt - so much so that I flew straight back to London,' he said. Despite his own behaviour, he claimed that the relationship had driven him to drink and drugs. 'Bit by bit, the pressure of the relationship had stripped away layers and left me an emotional wreck, and I turned to alcohol and drugs for comfort. Kylie's wrecked my life,' he said. His resentment over his split with the star was clearly evident in everything he said, including: 'This was the woman who nearly pushed me over the edge. None of her public saw that side of her and even I was stunned by the full force of her selfishness. 'Her obsession with success completely did my head in.' After their split and the scene at the Brits he held a vigil outside Kylie's Chelsea house before going on a drugs bender, and ending up spending 10 days in rehab at Farm Place Clinic in Surrey. 'Rehab was a scary and positive experience,' he said previously, 'If everyone just stopped and looked at themselves, the world would be a better place.' In a 2003 interview with The Telegraph, he denied being addict but said that the stint had been valuable. He admitted: 'It was good, it was scary, it was a real eye-opener for me. 'My head was a bit messed up. And my father was a heavy alcoholic, so I thought there was definitely a part of me that could go down that road.' Following his split from Kylie, James moved on with another high profile name - Sadie Frost. The pair dated from 2012 to 2013, and had a bump in the road where Sadie was cautioned for assaulting the model in October 2012. Sources said Sadie was convinced that James was still in love with ex Kylie and their separation was a 'sore' subject for Sadie at the time. Friends said Sadie believed Kylie was the love of her ex's life. 'She just knows – you can always tell with something like that,' - a pal told The Telegraph. Now a photographer, producer and director, James has put his love rat ways behind him. His LinkedIn profile reads: 'I excel in leading creative initiatives, managing strategic partnerships, and driving global teams, with notable skills in content production, team leadership, and revenue growth.' As well as an impressive CV of directing and producing, he also volunteered at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services for two years between 2017 and 2019. It's a far cry from the person who once, speaking of Kylie, said: 'I fear she's going to end up a lonely spinster with only a cat for company.' In a 2012 interview with The Standard, speaking of his public split with the star, with he admitted: 'I was in a situation I had no control over. It was a very difficult time. I'm glad it's over. 'I wanted to draw a line under it and move on. That part of my life is over. I want to distance myself from it.'

Britney Spears Seductively Dances to Ex Justin Timberlake's ‘Senorita' 23 Years After Breakup

Two years after Britney Spears dragged ex Justin Timberlake in her tell-all memoir, The Women in Me, it appears that the pop star is no longer harboring any bad feelings. Spears, 43, uploaded her latest dance video to Instagram on Saturday, March 8, in which she sported a black lacy bodysuit and a camel, wide-brimmed hat. In the footage, the pop star seductively grooved to Timberlake's 'Señorita' in front of a fireplace. Timberlake, 44, released 'Señorita' in 2002 — the same year that he and Spears broke up. However, it is not publicly known whether the song was inspired by Spears or the reason why she decided to dance to it on Saturday. Spears and Timberlake, who notably met on the set of The All-New Mickey Mouse Club, famously dated from 1999 to 2002. Justin Timberlake Is 'Trying to Distance Himself' From Britney Spears' Memoir (Source) 'The most painful thing I've ever experienced was that breakup,' Spears recalled to W magazine in 2003. 'We were together so long, and I had this vision. You think you're going to spend the rest of your life together. Where I come from, the woman is the homemaker, and that's how I was brought up — you cook for your kids. But now I realize I need my single time. You have to do your own thing.' Spears gave fans even more insight into her romance with Timberlake in her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me. In the book, the 'Stronger' singer claimed that the 'NSync alum allegedly pressured her to have an abortion, cheated on her 'a couple of times' and broke up with her via text message. According to Spears, she wrote that she felt 'clinically in shock' and 'devastated' when Timberlake finally ended their romance. Timberlake never publicly addressed any of Spears' memoir accusations, though a source told Us Weekly he was trying to 'distance himself' from the conversation. Britney Spears Was 'Triggered' by Justin Timberlake Mocking Her Apology, Wanted to Move 'Forward' 'Justin will always be supportive of Britney and all of her endeavors, but he's trying to distance himself from her upcoming book,' an insider told Us in October 2023. 'It's not something he's focusing too much on in terms of anything she might discuss when it comes to their former relationship.' Per the source, Timberlake has 'a whole different life now' with his wife, Jessica Biel, and their two sons. 'Justin and Britney dated so long ago, and he has a whole different life now,' the source added. 'He's focused on his family, his career, and moving forward, and he would like to leave anything that happened in the past behind them.'

Justin Timberlake plays Detroit: A young sensation finds his way to a middle-age sweet spot

A suave and polished Justin Timberlake commanded the Little Caesars Arena stage Thursday night with a veteran's poise, playing to a capacity crowd downtown in his latest Detroit visit. The 44-year-old pop star was making good on a show originally scheduled for October, when he was abruptly sidelined by a double whammy of bronchitis and laryngitis. Those issues — along with a subsequent back injury — seemed well behind him inside LCA, where Timberlake served up reliably agile vocals, taut dance moves and a good-natured rapport with fans down front. The postponement meant Detroit was tucked into the tail end of the U.S. leg of Timberlake's long-running Forget Tomorrow World Tour, whose accompanying album, 'Everything I Thought It Was,' supplied a healthy portion of Thursday's set list. Beyond that, the evening amounted to a live, upbeat greatest-hits compilation, showcasing the biggies from his 23-year post-'N Sync solo career. Now more than 90 dates into the tour, Timberlake and company arrived in the Motor City a well-drilled unit: While never quite hitting a transcendent sixth gear, the show delivered a proficient and consistently entertaining performance from one of the 21st century's defining pop figures — a guy whose second-nature stage chops have been honed since childhood. Timberlake's big bow to the audience preceded the opening twofer of 'No Angels' and 'LoveStoned,' whose warm, '70s-suffused vibes soon gave way to the sleeker futurism of 'My Love.' That set the tone for the two-hour show: mingling Timberlake's old-school influences with the innovative R&B soundscapes crafted alongside the likes of producer Timbaland. Unlike many modern pop concerts, where supporting band members are often cloaked in the shadows or even shoved out of sight altogether, Timberlake's musicians — his much-loved Tennessee Kids — were in the thick of the action throughout. Bolstered by a horn section and three backing vocalists, the lively outfit lent a visually dynamic flourish alongside Timberlake and his small cast of dancers. The stage production was relatively sparse in a show that relied on Timberlake's songs and showmanship to make its impact. His vocals came with tight little melismatic runs while his signature falsetto did its thing ('My Love,' 'Drown'), and he got plenty of audience singing support on older hits such as 'Cry Me a River' and 'Until the End of Time.' Material from his 2024 album held its own while Timberlake quietly drew links between it and his past work — pairing the new 'Infinity Sex' with 2006's 'FutureSex/LoveSound,' for instance, in a tidy musical tandem. Twenty-seven years after his inaugural Detroit show amid the frenzy of 'N Sync, Timberlake displayed the artistic maturity he has since come to embody. It was most apparent during a stretch on a B-stage situated among fans on the LCA floor, an intimate and relaxed segment capped by 'Selfish' and 'What Goes Around … Comes Around,' with the singer on acoustic guitar. From there, it was on to a flashy, dance-heavy finale as the buoyant, sunshine-in-your-pocket charm of 'Can't Stop the Feeling!' took Timberlake back to the main stage to close out the regular set with 'Rock Your Body' and 'SexyBack.' Nearly three decades after breaking out as a teen sensation, Timberlake may no longer be a pacesetter for the pop zeitgeist. But it's clear he is finding his way to a productive and enduring career lane — a once-precocious young star now thriving as a middle-aged veteran with plenty left to give.
