Samsung Elevates OLED TV Gaming Experience with NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – May 21, 2025 – Samsung Electronics today announced that its 2025 OLED TV lineup will feature NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, delivering ultra-smooth gameplay, low latency, and enhanced responsiveness to meet the needs of gaming enthusiasts worldwide. With NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, Samsung's 2025 OLED TVs synchronize the TV's refresh rate with the GPU's frame rate, reducing screen tearing and stuttering for a seamless and immersive gaming experience.[1] Paired with Samsung's Motion Xcelerator technology, which supports refresh rates up to 165Hz, gamers can enjoy exceptionally fluid visuals and sharp clarity during fast-paced action scenes. 'With the addition of NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and our most advanced gaming features yet, Samsung's 2025 OLED TVs deliver elite-level performance for even the most competitive players,' said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Customer Experience Team at Samsung Electronics. 'By building on our leadership in display innovation and integrating real-time AI enhancements, we're redefining what gamers can expect from a TV—on and off the battlefield.' The new lineup also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, ensuring broad compatibility and adaptive sync performance across a range of GPUs. Additional core gaming features include Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) to minimize input lag and deliver instant response, and Samsung Gaming Hub, which provides instant access to console and cloud-based gaming platforms, including Xbox and NVIDIA GeForce NOW. To further elevate gameplay, the 2025 OLED TVs introduce AI Auto Game Mode, which intelligently analyzes game genres and scene content in real time to automatically optimize picture and sound settings—eliminating the need for manual adjustments. Gamers can also take advantage of the Game Bar, a pop-up interface that allows quick access to key settings without exiting the game. While engineered for elite gaming, Samsung's OLED TVs also deliver a premium cinematic and connected home experience as well. Features such as AI Upscaling, Glare Free screen technology, and SmartThings integration ensure immersive visuals and effortless control in any environment. The NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility feature will be available on Samsung's flagship S95F model and will subsequently roll out to additional models in the 2025 OLED lineup. This Samsung display tech is going to give laptops one of the biggest upgrades ever
These days, there are plenty of lightweight laptops to pick from. We're talking backpack-friendly, travel-ready, actually-use-on-your-lap-without-going-numb light. Apple's MacBook Air is one of our favourites, and Acer's latest is even lighter. But what about the next generation of featherweight computers? Samsung's newest display tech has given us an early look at a big upgrade that's in store. Samsung's UT One is a new prototype OLED panel. The 'UT' stands for ultra-thin, which is exactly what Samsung's cooked up here by swapping the usual top glass substrate for ultra-thin organic and inorganic films. UT One is 30% thinner and 30% lighter than your standard dual-glass OLED panel. The weight savings are equivalent to ditching a whole laptop battery cell (about 50g). So next-gen lightweight laptops are going to be even easier to lug around. But the real kicker? UT One doesn't just stop at losing some pounds. Samsung's crammed in support for a 1 Hz variable refresh rate – a first for OLED panels in laptops. That's the same stuff helping your smartphone save battery and enables Always-On Displays. This could mean actual battery life gains in the real world, especially when you're doing less demanding tasks. This also helps to avoid flickering at low refresh rates – possible thanks to a low leakage current. Now, don't expect to see UT One in your lightweight laptop just yet. Samsung is building out its production line in Asan, Korea, and the production isn't expected to begin until 2026. So this is more of a glimpse into the near future. Of course, Samsung is also showing off some other new display tech. Intelligent Color Technology juices up pixel saturation while dimming overall brightness to save power and Edge Luminance Profile tones down the brightness in screen corners you weren't looking at anyway. Gamers have been given some attention, too. There's a new 27-inch UHD QD-OLED monitor with a 160 PPI, plus a prototype boasting 220 PPI for the editing elite. Also on show is a QHD QD-OLED that cranks up to 500Hz. There's even a 34-inch ultra-wide model with a 360Hz refresh rate. Samsung's 2025 OLED TVs are also getting NVIDIA G-SYNC support in a free update. That means buttery-smooth gameplay with no screen tearing, with support for refresh rates up to 165Hz. It'll first be available on the S95F model, and then other 2025 OLEDs.

Samsung launches world's first 500Hz OLED gaming monitor: Odyssey OLED G6
On Sunday, Samsung announced the Odyssey OLED G6, the world's first OLED gaming monitor with a 500Hz refresh rate. The 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) monitor is aimed at competitive gamers who want ultra-smooth visuals and fast response times, and it is one of the most cutting-edge gaming monitors in the world. The monitor will be available for purchase at approximately Rs 1,27,112 ($1,488) in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, followed by other global markets in the coming days. 'With the Odyssey OLED G6, the world's first 500Hz OLED gaming monitor, we are pushing gaming performance, visual quality, and immersion to entirely new heights — delivering the next evolution of display technology for gamers around the world,' said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. The G6 is equipped with a QHD (2560×1440) resolution panel, offering a 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time and support for both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. It uses Samsung's QD-OLED panel, which combines OLED contrast with quantum dot colour reproduction for more accurate visuals. The Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 features a metal frame with Core Lighting+ at the back that syncs with on-screen content. The stand supports height, tilt, and swivel adjustments. The display has very narrow bezels and features DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI ports, a headphone jack, and a USB-A. The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified, has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, and is Pantone Validated—capable of reproducing over 2,100 colours and 110 skin tones. This ensures consistent and vivid output for both gaming and content creation. To tackle the usual OLED burn-in issues, Samsung has introduced OLED Safeguard+, which includes a pulsating heat pipe and a dynamic cooling system. This is said to be five times more effective than standard cooling methods. The monitor also auto-dims static elements to prevent screen burn.
