BrowserStack Launches Testing Toolkit: One Chrome Extension to Streamline QA Workflows
PRNewswire Dublin [Ireland], August 19: BrowserStack, the world's leading software testing platform, today announced the launch of Testing Toolkit, a Chrome extension that brings 10+ essential manual testing tools into one streamlined solution. Manual web testing has become increasingly fragmented. QA teams juggle half a dozen extensions and apps, switching between tabs, logging into multiple accounts, and losing hours each week to setup and context switching. Many also miss out on tools that could improve coverage, especially for checks like accessibility and responsive design. The Testing Toolkit brings order to this chaos. The extension offers one-click access to a comprehensive suite of capabilities, covering the full manual testing lifecycle--setup, execution, and bug reporting. * Comprehensive test coverage with 10+ integrated tools, including cross-browser testing across 3500+ browsers, accessibility testing, and visual overlay comparison. * One-click bug reporting with automated screenshots, console logs, network data, and system information for complete issue documentation. * Built-in productivity tools like AI-powered test case generation, cookie and cache management, JSON formatting, HTTP request/response modification, and workflow automation for repetitive tasks. "Testing Toolkit was born out of a simple observation--we saw how fragmented manual web testing workflows had become," said Nakul Aggarwal, Co-founder and CTO at BrowserStack. "With this launch, we're giving testers and developers a powerful yet lightweight way to streamline their daily tasks. No clutter. Just better testing." "The best extension or plug-in for manual web testing. It has made manual testing a lot faster. I have already recommended it to all my colleagues, testers, as well as developers in the company," said an early adopter, Ayush Agarwal, Software Developer at Webninjaz. The Testing Toolkit is already loved by over 3,000 users and is now available on the Chrome Web Store, letting teams reclaim lost productivity hours. BrowserStack Launches Accessibility Design Toolkit to Shift Accessibility Left
PRNewswire Dublin [Ireland], July 23: BrowserStack, the world's leading software testing platform, today announced the launch of its Accessibility Design Toolkit, a Figma plugin that helps design teams build accessible products right from the design stage. Figma plugin powered by BrowserStack's proprietary Spectra™ Rule Engine, prevents up to 40% of accessibility issues before development even begins. BrowserStack's collaboration with WebAIM on the 2025 WebAIM Million report reveals the scope of the problem: 94.8% of one million analyzed homepages had at least one WCAG failure, with color contrast and missing alt text issues ranking among the top two--both preventable during design. The findings underscore the urgency to start designing with accessibility in mind. With over 8,800 ADA lawsuits filed in 2024 and the European Accessibility Act now in effect, teams are under growing pressure to meet accessibility standards, yet most still address these issues after launch, when fixes become harder and more expensive. "Teams have lacked the tools to catch accessibility issues early, even though most originate in the design phase," said Nakul Aggarwal, Co-founder and CTO at BrowserStack. "Our toolkit addresses this by empowering designers to resolve up to 40% of these issues directly within Figma." Powered by BrowserStack's proprietary Spectra™ Rule Engine, the Accessibility Design Toolkit helps shift accessibility left and enables design teams to: * Instantly scan Figma design files for color contrast, touch target size, spacing issues, and more * Auto-detect UI components, validate against WCAG standards, and auto-annotate with ARIA roles * Get AI-powered suggestions to add alt text, fix heading structure, and improve keyboard focus order * Generate developer-ready handoffs with built-in accessibility specs and clear annotations The Accessibility Design Toolkit is a part of BrowserStack's all-in-one accessibility suite and is now available to all Figma users, integrating seamlessly into existing workflows. About BrowserStack BrowserStack is the world's leading software testing platform, powered by AI to help developers and QA teams deliver quality software at speed. BrowserStack Becomes the First Platform to Enable Playwright Testing on Real iOS Devices with Safari
PRNewswire Dublin [Ireland], June 13: BrowserStack, the world's leading software testing platform, today announced support for Playwright tests on real iOS devices with Safari--becoming the first platform to close one of the most persistent gaps in browser test automation. Playwright has become one of the most popular test automation frameworks globally. However, until now, developers and QA engineers couldn't use it to test websites on real iOS devices with Safari. They had to rely on Playwright's desktop browser emulation, which often misses real iOS device-specific issues and edge cases--resulting in false positives and incomplete test coverage. "With iOS driving 28% of global web traffic, testing Safari on real iOS devices was the biggest missing piece in Playwright," said Nakul Aggarwal, CTO and Co-founder of BrowserStack. "Now, teams can confidently run Playwright tests on real iOS devices, ensuring consistent, reliable results across different browsers and devices." BrowserStack Automate now supports Playwright tests on real iPhones and iPads using Safari, enabling teams to: - Run parallel tests across 1000+ real iOS and Android device-browser combinations - Get accurate, reliable results with real-device testing - Capture network, video, and text logs in one place for faster debugging - Simulate real-world conditions--such as location, network speed, timezone, and orientation "With BrowserStack, we have saved up to 80% of our quality automation costs. We can test on two times more devices and browsers and up to three times more website sampling from releases," said Darius Dumitrescu, Global Technical Delivery Manager at L'Oreal. Playwright testing on real iOS devices with Safari is now available on BrowserStack Automate. Try now for free.
