He continued to check in with Scott even while he was committed to another program. A freshman wide receiver, Isaiah Mozee, played host to Scott during the official visit and noted several things about the team culture. Scott noticed the players seemed to develop authentic relationships with each other and the coaching staff. He liked how the player development program is set up and was impressed that Shorts has had several players drafted to the NFL in recent years—that sense of structure and honesty built Scott's intrigue towards the Big Ten program. Even with a commitment letter from Arizona State and the impressive presence of NFL legend Hines Ward on their coaching staff, Nebraska's persistence truly paid off. Before Scott's visit in June, the Huskers had hosted him during a spring practice in April, which helped him establish a better feel for his eventual future. Nebraska football was able to flip a commitment from class of 2026 four-star wide receiver Nalin Scott. He made the announcement on social media Friday afternoon. Scott is the No. 63 overall wide receiver in the 2026 class and the No. 47 overall player in his class from the state of Georgia, according to the On3 recruiting rankings. He had a productive season for McEachern High School last year. He tallied 29 receptions for 541 yards and two touchdowns. The wide receiver had been committed to Arizona State before switching his commitment to Nebraska. The decision should not have come as much of a surprise, as Scott visited Nebraska last week, and ASU does not allow commits to take visits to other schools, so a change was likely coming. With this commitment, Nebraska now has its second blue-chip prospect of the class. The class itself has nine commitments in total and ranks No. 18 overall in the Big Ten. The wideout recorded 29 receptions for 541 yards and two touchdowns last season, averaging 18.7 yards per reception. According to the 247Sports Rankings, Scott is the 216th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 35th-ranked wide receiver, and the 21st-ranked player from the state of Georgia. He has several offers on the table, including Georgia, Auburn, Florida, and Michigan. Scott is scheduled to visit the Gators on March 15 and Michigan on April 5. The wide receiver had a tremendous season in 2024 for McEachern High School in Georgia. He had 23 receptions for 302 yards last season and showed that he could be a receiving threat.
