Nancy Lieberman claps back at Jeff Teague over Fever's Caitlin Clark hate
The post Nancy Lieberman claps back at Jeff Teague over Fever's Caitlin Clark hate appeared first on ClutchPoints. Hall of Fame guard Nancy Lieberman clapped back at former NBA guard and podcast host Jeff Teague for his controversial take on Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark. While Clark works her way back from a groin injury, it hasn't stopped former professional guards from talking about her game and overall impact in the WNBA. However, Lieberman didn't appreciate Teague's labeling the defending Rookie of the Year as 'good, not great.' Alongside Michael Beasley, Lieberman addressed Teague's comments, per Big3's 3s and Ones podcast. 'I don't agree with Jeff Teague, where I read something today that said, Caitlin Clark, well, she's just a good player,' Lieberman. 'She's not a great player. Jeff, I love you. You weren't a great player. You were serviceable. I know you made the All-Star team one time. I'm sorry, if we're going to be honest, I'm happy for your career.' Beasley agreed with Lieberman's take. 'Jeff [Teague] my guy,' Beasley said. 'But you tripping. Caitlin's great.' It didn't take long for Teague to respond to Lieberman's comments on Instagram. 'u got it, OG i ain't gonna fry you, just said I think she's good not great,' Teague said. 'I think Kelsey is better that's all but I'm serviceable that's kind of true my career was kind of like your sons in the big 3 only thing was my mom didn't draft me nah I'm joking s/o to yall.' Nancy Lieberman coaches her son, TJ Cline, as part of the Dallas Power in the Big3 league. After going undrafted in 2017, Cline played overseas in Israel. He returned to the States on a G League deal before re-routing back to Israel, where he still plays for the Hapoel Eilat. Cline joined Ice Cube's Big3 league last season. Candace Parker drops Caitlin Clark, Fever take amid injury As Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark rehabs from a groin injury, her team has found success with her on the sidelines. They've won seven of their last 10 games and are now in fifth place in the standings. Parker addressed how the Fever's recent success without Clark is a sign of a strong team that's found its momentum, per the Post Moves podcast. 'As a player that has unfortunately played on the sideline for a little bit, where you get to observe your team and see where you can add,' Parker said. 'Like, Caitlin is one of those people that has a high IQ.' Parker added that the Fever is 'very scary' heading into the final stretch of the regular season. Jeff Teague bites tongue on Nancy Lieberman's Caitlin Clark clapback: ‘Lucky you old'
The post Jeff Teague bites tongue on Nancy Lieberman's Caitlin Clark clapback: 'Lucky you old' appeared first on ClutchPoints. Retired NBA guard and podcast host Jeff Teague responded to Hall of Fame guard Nancy Lieberman calling him out for his recent comments on Indiana Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark, claiming he held back. After stating that Clark is a good player, but not a great one, Lieberman said Teague was a serviceable NBA player despite his one All-Star selection during Jeff's playing days, while defending Caitlin. Teague says he was prepared to clap back at Lieberman viciously, but pulled his proverbial punch out of respect, per Club 520, Teague's podcast. 'Her saying, 'Oh, you weren't good,' I don't care, obviously, you don't know the show. I don't give a f***,' Teague said. 'That's a clean way to say it. I was gonna go in on you. You so lucky you old. I was gonna torch you. I was gonna torch her. You know I was. She's so lucky my old head called me and said, 'Please don't do it.' I was like oh, this is what they always wanted. This is what the people want.' Nancy Lieberman on Jeff Teague over Caitlin Clark remark This isn't the first time podcast host Jeff Teague's comments have generated backlash. He eventually backpedalled, but Teague hinted that Lakers' LeBron James used steroids. Hall of Fame guard Nancy Lieberman called him out, defending Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark after Teague labeled her a 'good player,' instead of calling her great. Lieberman defended Clark while describing the kind of player Teague was in the NBA. 'I don't agree with Jeff Teague, where I read something today that said, Caitlin Clark, well, she's just a good player,' Lieberman. 'She's not a great player. Jeff, I love you. You weren't a great player. You were serviceable. I know you made the All-Star team one time. I'm sorry, if we're going to be honest, I'm happy for your career.' 'I think Kelsey is better that's all but I'm serviceable that's kind of true my career was kind of like your sons in the big 3 only thing was my mom didn't draft me nah I'm joking s/o to yall.' Then, Teague followed up with a more extended response on a recent episode of his Club 520 podcast. Related: Stephen A. Former Sacramento Kings Assistant Coach Claims George Karl Was Racist
Former Sacramento Kings Assistant Coach Claims George Karl Was Racist originally appeared on Fadeaway World. Former Sacramento Kings assistant coach Nancy Lieberman appeared on the latest episode of the 3s and Ones podcast, where she made a serious accusation against George Karl. Lieberman claimed Karl was a racist and believes he has played a role in DeMarcus Cousins not being in the NBA today. 'There were two times in the locker room [Cousins] tried to beat up George Karl," Lieberman said. "And that's why he's not given a chance. 'Cause that coach's circle? It is no joke... I thought George was one of the most racist [people]. I sat in the meetings. It was unbelievable. Ask him out. Come out." Karl coached Cousins on the Kings during the 2015-16 season, and the two did not get along. The head coach reportedly attempted to suspend his star player less than a month into the campaign over a profanity-laced outburst, but was overruled by then-General Manager Vlade Divac. Lieberman got to witness all of that tension first-hand, as she was an assistant coach for the Kings from 2015 to 2018. She was in the meetings Karl held and wasn't a fan of what she heard in them. Karl has faced accusations of being a racist in the past, and it will be interesting to see if he responds to Lieberman. It should also be pointed out that these two weren't necessarily on the best of terms during the time they worked together. The Kings finished that 2015-16 season with a 33-49 record, and amid the struggles and the turmoil behind the scenes, Karl found himself on the hot seat one too many times. It was reported that owner Vivek Ranadive considered parting ways and making Lieberman the interim head coach at one point. That supposedly didn't go down well with Karl. "[Cousins] sees the in-fighting on the coaching staff, with assistant coach Nancy Lieberman identified as a Ranadive confidante and thus unofficially exiled by Karl months ago." Lieberman would end up outlasting Karl, who was fired at the end of that 2015-16 season. He hasn't coached in the NBA since, but apparently still has enough influence around the league to keep Cousins out of it. The big man last played in the NBA for the Denver Nuggets in 2022. Karl finished his NBA coaching career with a 1,175-824 record. The highlights from his time in the league include leading the Seattle SuperSonics to the NBA Finals in 1996 and winning Coach of the Year in 2013. While Karl knew how to coach, clashing with players certainly wasn't out of character for him, having famously fallen out with Carmelo Anthony during their time together on the Nuggets. The two continued to fire shots at each other in the years that followed, but Karl did attempt to bury the hatchet in 2024. It's unclear if Anthony had any interest in doing so. As for Lieberman, she hasn't coached in the NBA since leaving the Kings. She has instead been coaching the Dallas Power in the BIG 3 and led the team to the championship in 2018. Lieberman is also currently a broadcaster for the Oklahoma City story was originally reported by Fadeaway World on Aug 9, 2025, where it first appeared.

She reminded Jeff Teague about his own time in the NBA. She said he had some good moments, but he wasn't the kind of player who changed the game. Teague played in the league from 2009 to 2021, made one All-Star team, and won a title with the Bucks in 2021 — but Lieberman made it clear there's a big gap between being decent and being great. Teague made his original statement during an episode of the Club 520 Podcast, which was uploaded on YouTube on August 3, 2025. During the discussion, Teague said of Caitlin Clark: 'She's good... but she's not that good.' Having previously played for the Iowa Hawkeyes and presently playing for the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark has been dominating the news all season. Not only because of her court play, but also due to the fervent opinions surrounding her first year in the league, she has been much discussed. Lieberman's comments followed a strong reaction from WNBA and NBA fans online. Some supported Teague, saying expectations around Clark are too high, too soon. But others, like Lieberman, believe Clark deserves more respect. Caitlin Clark's 3-Point Contest replacement announced
The post Caitlin Clark's 3-Point Contest replacement announced appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Indiana Fever have already faced plenty of adversity during the 2025 WNBA season. Most recently, it is another injury to guard Caitlin Clark just days before the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. The WNBA has finally revealed which player will take Clark's place in one of this weekend's important skills challenges. Fever guard Lexie Hull will replace superstar Caitlin Clark in the 3-Point Contest at the 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend. Hull is an excellent pick to replace Clark. She may not be a volume shooter in 2025, but Hull is incredibly efficient from behind the three-point line. She has a 46.8% shooting percentage from downtown and was the most efficient three-point shooter in the W for most of the season. Hull will go up against Sabrina Ionescu, Kelsey Plum, Allisha Gray, and Sonia Citron in the 3-Point Contest. Clark announced on Thursday that she will not participate at the 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend because of a right groin injury. She suffered the injury in the final minutes of Indiana's win against Connecticut at TD Garden in Boston on Tuesday night. Clark will not participate in the All-Star Game itself and will be replaced by Mystics guard Brittney Sykes. WNBA legend Nancy Lieberman sends heartfelt message to Caitlin Clark amid injury concerns One WNBA legend sent a heartfelt message to Clark while she battles this new injury. Nancy Lieberman sent a message to Clark from a youth basketball camp in Texas on Thursday. 'Hi, Caitlin, it's a basketball camp in Dallas, and we've got tons of children, and I just want to personally say thank you,' Lieberman said in the video posted on X, formerly Twitter. 'Thank you for everything you've done for the game. Thank you for our friendship. I so admire you as a human being. You're epic as the basketball player, but we're praying that you will heal quickly.' Lieberman did her best to encourage Clark even though she will miss this year's All-Star Game. 'I know it's disappointing, because All-Star's here in your hometown right now. You've changed the game, so many people love you,' It is currently unknown how long Clark will be out with this new groin the Fever need to continue stacking wins, with or without Clark.
