This romantic thriller, will blow your mind, film's plot and climax will leave you speechless, movie is..., lead actors were...

In the mid-2000s, a Bollywood thriller emerged that promised to redefine the genre with its unexpected twists and layered characters. Set against the opulent backdrop of the Middle East, the film introduced audiences to a tale where love, deception, and ambition intertwined in unforeseen ways. Which movie is this? Here we are talking about the 2007 suspense thriller 'Naqaab,' helmed by the renowned director duo Abbas-Mustan. The narrative follows Sophia (played by Urvashi Rautela), a young woman who relocates to Dubai after a traumatic incident in Goa. In Dubai, she becomes engaged to the affluent Karan Oberoi (played by Bobby Deol). However, her life takes a tumultuous turn when she encounters Vicky Malhotra (played by Akshaye Khanna), a struggling actor. Drawn to Vicky's charm, Sophia finds herself entangled in a web of emotions, leading her to make choices that unravel a series of shocking revelations. Was Naqaab known for its mind-bending plot? The film's plot thickens as it's revealed that Vicky was hired by a filmmaker named Rohit Shroff to document Sophia's life, aiming to create a sensational movie, with a mind-bending twist that Rohit Shroff is, in fact, Karan Oberoi in disguise. This revelation sets off a chain of events, culminating in a climax where betrayal and vengeance take center stage, which also becomes the highlight of this film. How was the box office reception? Upon its release, Naqaab garnered mixed reviews. While some critics appreciated the performances, especially Akshaye Khanna's portrayal of Vicky, others felt the film's numerous twists diluted its impact. Made on an estimated budget of around Rs 15 crore, the film managed to collect approximately Rs 21.5 crore worldwide. In India, it earned close to Rs 17 crore, while the overseas collection was around Rs 4.5 crore. Despite a star cast and the trademark Abbas–Mustan thriller treatment, the film received mixed reviews, which affected its long-term performance. It recovered its costs but wasn't considered a major hit. More about Naqaab Apart from lead stars, the film also featured a supporting cast of Naqaab, including Vasundhara Das, Vikas Kalantri, Vishal, Raj Zutshi and Anupam Shyam, who played minor but notable roles. The film's music, composed by Pritam, received a decent response. Songs like 'Ek Din Teri Raahon Mein' and 'Aa Dil Se Dil Mila Le' were well appreciated and gained popularity, especially among younger audiences. The soundtrack contributed to the film's initial buzz, though it couldn't sustain long-term popularity like Pritam's other hits from that era, except for the song Ek Din Teri Raahon Mein, which still holds a special place.

Who Owns Vijay Mallya's Kingfisher Villa In Goa? It Has A Bollywood Connection

Liquor baron and fugitive Vijay Mallya never really went out of the newscycle and now former owner of the defunct Kingfisher Airlines is dominating headlines following his lengthy conversation with podcaster Raj Shamani. Mallya, who is wanted in India for alleged loan defaults and is currently based out of the UK, once owned the lavish Kingfisher Villa in Goa, among many several properties, where he hosted many high-profile parties in his heyday as the 'King of Good Times'. The villa is spread over 12,350 square feet (three acres) at the Candolim beach village in North Goa, which is around 20 km from Panaji and on the way to Fort Aguada. It was legally owned by United Breweries Holdings (UBH), the parent company of the Kingfisher Airlines. After Mallya defaulted on his loans and fled the country in 2016, the Kingfisher Villa was sold to Bollywood couple, actor-producer Sachiin Joshi and his wife, actor Urvashi Sharma of Naqaab film fame for Rs 73.01 crore the next year. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Urvashi Sharrma (@urvashiamrrahs) Joshi, whose film credits include Mumbai Mirror and Jackpot, in which he co-starred with Sunny Leone, also runs Viiking Ventures. According to the businessman's official website, the company dabbles in different verticals such as FMCG products (alcoholic, non-alchoholic beverages), hospitality, entertainment, realty, infrastructure paper products and philanthropic activities. In 2017, Joshi bought the Kingfisher Villa in an auction conducted by the consortium of banks led by the State Bank of India, to whom Mallya owed money. The bankers had initially set the price of the villa at over Rs 90 crore for auction. Joshi, whose liquor manufacturing business sells products including Kings Beer, later renamed the Kingfisher Villa to 'King's Mansion'. The businessman had opened up about his plans for the property when he unveiled the plaque of the massive villa rechristened as King's Mansion. "Today is the day I open the gates to the world. The property has been coronated as the 'King's Mansion' and the future plans have been drawn. We had multiple names to dabble, but then the brand connection from 'Kings Beer' and the inherent grandeur of the property made the choice," he said. "We have some interesting plans for the place. But the innate point of anything we do here would be to create an experience like no other. The place would denote class and something that's never been done in India before," he added. Joshi himself acquired the Goa-based Kings Beer from Impala Distillery and Brewery for Rs 90 crore back in 2015.
