Farmer Wants A Wife announces shock twist set to shake up the series - following two stars walking off the show after finding love
In a dramatic twist to this year's Farmer Wants A Wife, Channel Seven has announced the late arrival of a brand new farmer set to shake things up. Farmer Jack, a 26-year-old dairy farmer from Tasmania, will make his belated series debut on Monday night, after both Tom and Jarrad exited the show early due to finding true love. His unexpected entrance looks to bring some drama to the dating show, with a recent trailer showing a flustered host Natalie Gruzlewski telling Jack: 'This has not happened before. I will have to double-check that, just give me one minute.' Described by friends as 'Steady Eddy' due to his calm nature and clear sense of direction, Jack is passionate about all things country life. He is searching for a down-to-earth partner who shares his love for family, animals and the simple things in life. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I'm looking for someone with girl-next-door vibes. Someone who is family-oriented, has a good sense of humour, and is willing to move to the country, who wants kids too,' he said in a statement. Jack was part of the original casting pool for the 2025 season but was held back after the original four farmers were chosen. His addition is sure to shake up the series, with the season seemingly winding down after Farmer Jarrad and Farmer Tom chose their partners early and exited the show. The shock move has ruffled the feathers of several long-time viewers who shared their thoughts on social media. 'Bringing a farmer in when the show's nearly finished is stupid. Too cruel to the ladies,' one person sniped. 'Isn't it almost over? He's a bit late to the party,' a second added. Earlier this week, Farmer Tom became the second man to leave FWAW after finding love, however fans of the show were up in arms about his choice of lady. Tom, 31, who farms sheep in Borambola New South Wales, was down to two women in episode 10 - Eliza and Georgie - and after visiting their families and taking them on their final date, he whittled his way down to one. 'Through this whole experience, I enjoyed every moment I've been with you,' he told his chosen beau. 'I'm excited to take the next step in this. I've fallen really hard and fast for you, Georgie. I'm in love with you.' Prior to that, Farmer Jarrad's journey on FWAW came to a thrilling conclusion. Jarrad appeared to find his happily ever after with Queensland bartender Chloe, after he picked her to be his final choice on the dating show, dumping his second choice, Victorian education support worker Ashlee. Down to his final two ladies, he met their families, hoping this would help him in his decision making. Despite having strong affections for both ladies, Jarrad announced bartender Chloe had won his heart, saying the pair went together like 'cold beer and country music'. Only Farmer Thomas and Farmer Thomas remain from the original contestants and Jack, who has been paired with eight women from which to find true love, is sure to keep things as lively as ever.

Farmer Wants A Wife shock as TWO of Tom's ladies exit the show: 'I don't want to waste your time'
Farmer Wants A Wife saw two women leave the show on Monday night. Both Emily and Maddy departed the series - with Maddy dumped by Farmer Tom, and Emily quitting herself. The farmers and their love interests were put to the test by host Natalie Gruzlewski in a compatibility challenge. At the end of the tests, each farmer invited the lady they felt most compatible with on a special one-on-one date.t. Farmer Tom was thrilled to hear about Georgie's love of farm life and her willingness to relocate to build their relationship. 'My dream scenario is here. I can definitely see myself living out on the farm here with Tom. It's just the best. I love it!' shared Georgie. With the knowledge and insights gathered from the exercises, the farmers announced their solo dates: Farmer Thomas - Rachael, Farmer Corey - Chloe and Farmer Tom - Georgie. After the romantic solo dates, the farmers and ladies gathered for an honesty dinner – a night of hard-hitting anonymous questions asked around the table. The honesty dinner on Tom's farm prompted two shock departures. Emily decided to leave, not feeling a strong connection with Tom. 'It's definitely not fun having to say goodbye so genuine and caring. She is definitely right. I do have stronger connections. I don't want to be wasting anyone's time' Tom said. 'A tough decision tonight, it's not fun, but I'm just going to have to follow my heart.' In a shock twist, Tom then asked Maddy to leave the farm. 'If I am to be honest, Maddy, I just feel the connection isn't quite strong enough. I don't want to waste your time because you're such a lovely lady and you deserve to find happiness,' said Tom, explaining his decision. It comes after Farmer Tom's love interest Emma spoke out about her shock exit from the show, revealing what really happened when he abruptly ended their connection. Viewers were left reeling earlier when Tom told Emma he felt a stronger bond with the other women on his farm, despite her appearing to be the frontrunner in the race for his heart. Adding salt to the wound, Tom didn't even hug Emma before making a swift exit - a moment fans described as 'brutal'. Tom appeared to flee the scene before Emma's car had even driven away, sparking outrage among viewers who accused him of being uncaring. Emma has now broken her silence on the shock dumping and revealed what actually occurred behind the scenes. 'I was left there for a couple of minutes by myself. Honestly, it's good to take a minute to think about everything that just happened, I was kind of shocked,' Emma told Yahoo Lifestyle. 'It looks brutal, but in a way it just gave me that space to think, 'Okay this is happening'. I got my thoughts together and then he walked me to the car within minutes.' She then revealed what was her biggest regret from her time on the series - not being given the chance to farewell her female co-stars. 'Maybe it was for the best, because it would just make everyone quite emotional and there was another elimination that night,' she said. 'I wasn't expecting to make such good friends. It is long, tiring days filming, you get emotional at the end of the day. I wasn't really expecting to have such a good time, I really enjoyed myself.' Emma's departure follows shock events last month, in which two contestants completely ditched the show after less than 24 hours on Farmer Tom's regional property. During the episode, lawyer Bridget, 34, and fitness coach Emmie-Rose, 29, bolted for the exit, without so much as saying goodbye to Tom. In the second episode of the season, the New South Wales sheep farmer met eight women, before a round of speed dating to determine who he wanted to invite back to his Borambola farm. Following the round of one-on-one dates, Farmer Tom eliminated three potential matches and invited Eliza, Emma, Emmie-Rose, Georgie and Bridget to spend more time with him. Bridget and Emmie-Rose were filmed hopping into a taxi early in the morning, without providing an explanation for their Irish goodbye. Instead, Tom was left blindsided when he woke up to three - not five - single ladies remaining on the farm. Outraged viewers took to X and Instagram to slam the two women for each taking a chance away from a genuine participant. 'I think they should have spoken to Tom and said their goodbyes. But it's good they realised early that Tom or the farm wasn't for them,' one viewer commented on the official FWAW Instagram. 'Had they not seen previous seasons? They knew exactly what they were walking into,' another pointed out. On their way out, the duo spoke about how they lost their spark with Tom following their solo speed dates in episode one. However, Farmer Tom took the double ghosting on the chin, telling producers that he wishes the pair 'all the best'.

Farmer Wants A Wife winner calls out show's huge twist: 'Competitive'
Just as viewers were getting to know the ladies on this year's season of Farmer Wants A Wife, host Natalie Gruzlewski introduced a major twist. Monday night's episode saw Farmers Corey, Thomas, and Tom each meeting four new potential matches to give them the best shot at finding love. Unsurprisingly, the original contestants weren't too pleased with the new arrivals and the fact that they had to compete with even more women for one-on-one time with their farmer. Many viewers and former participants have also taken issue with how this season has seemingly prioritised drama over genuine love stories, with Clare Hockings telling Yahoo Lifestyle she wishes the reality show would return to its 'older style'. 'People keep saying that they they liked it when it was really wholesome and not about the drama and it was more about the actual farms and the girls having a go at doing farm work and watching someone slowly fall in love, rather than bringing new girls in and making it as competitive as it is,' she details. 'I definitely think MAFS is more intense and a lot harder mentally to film as a contestant. But, in saying that, Farmer definitely has the potential to become even more dramatic. It wasn't as easy and breezy as I thought it would be.' Many fans took to social media during Monday night's episode to criticise the introduction of new women so far into the season, with one person arguing that it 'ruins the show'. 'I don't know if I like the idea of new ladies, as it doesn't seem fair to current ones,' another added, while a third said, 'Bringing more girls in is so wrong. I don't agree with it. If you want all these girls, they should all be there in the beginning'. 'I don't like the way they make the show here, sorry. I stopped watching it. It is all so unreal!' someone else shared, followed by a different user who replied, 'You can see the shift that resembles MAFS'. 'Can we please get back to like the old shows used to be?' a fan requested, with another writing, 'I cannot believe the concept of this show, it's become as bad as MAFS. So demeaning to women'. Meanwhile, others admitted they were excited to get to know the new women and thought their arrival 'added some spice' to the season. 'I love the new girls!' one viewer commented, while another responded, 'It's a good way to test the men's loyalty'.
