BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Natchitoches Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run on April 27 along Keyser Avenue. According to police, a dark-colored pick-up truck captured on surveillance video ran a red light as it was traveling west at the intersection of Keyser and South Drive just after 1:20 p.m. The truck then crashed into a Dodge Challenger, which lost control and smashed through a convenience store. SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Natchitoches Police Department seized a significant amount of narcotics after a traffic stop early Friday morning. NPD said they attempted to stop a vehicle on Pavie Street and Anita Street around 1:13 a.m. on May 2. The driver refused to stop and drove to a home in the 1100 block of Pavie Street, where the driver and passenger fled on foot. The driver ran into the house, and the passenger fled on into the neighborhood, evading officers. When the driver, identified as Yepremian Zeno came outside again he was arrested without incident. Officers recovered multiple controlled substances from the vehicle and a gun that had been reported stolen. Inside the vehicle, officers recovered: • One Springfield XD-9 that was reported stolen through the Natchitoches Police Department • Approximately 904.1 grams of marijuana • Four grams of suspected synthetic marijuana • 27 small bags of suspected Fentanyl • 31 grams of suspected methamphetamine • Ten grams of suspected cocaine • One pill suspected to be Cyclobenzaphine Hydrochloride • 1085 pills of suspected MDMA (ecstasy) • Four units of Buprenorphine Naloxone • 29 Acetaminophen Oxycodone pills • 232 Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills • 45 Alprazolam (Xanax) pills • Ten yellow Alprazolam (Xanax) pills • 150 yellow Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills • Two white Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills • 50 Oxycodone pills • 28 orange Amphetamine Dextroamphetamine pills • 22 light blue Alprazolam (Xanax) pills • 75 white Xanax pills • Three ecstasy unique purple pills • One Candy Fumez THC product • $2,487 in currency Yepremian Zeno was placed in the LaSalle Corrections / Natchitoches Detention Center for Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies, seventeen counts of Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of CDS, Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm, three counts of Possession of Schedule I with the Intent to Distribute, seventeen counts of Possession of Schedule II, one count of Possession of Schedule IV and four counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and traffic related violations. Disclaimer: All persons are innocent until proven guilty NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Natchitoches Police Department has arrested suspects for a shooting on Saida Street. More local news According to a press release from the Natchitoches Police Department, The Natchitoches Police Department arrested 17-year-old Kaiden Burks and a 15-year-old for a shooting that occurred on February 13, 2025, around 1:47 p.m. on the 100 block of Saida Street. On March 6, 2025, the Natchitoches Police Department, the Violent Crimes Task Force, and the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office conducted several search warrants inside the city and in the parish. During the search warrants, Kaiden Burks and a 15-year-old juvenile were placed under arrest. Police say Kaiden Burks and the 15-year-old juvenile have been charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder. They were both placed in a juvenile facility in Jackson Parish.
