Fleeing suspect arrested, Natchitoches police seize narcotics, stolen gun
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Natchitoches Police Department seized a significant amount of narcotics after a traffic stop early Friday morning.
NPD said they attempted to stop a vehicle on Pavie Street and Anita Street around 1:13 a.m. on May 2. The driver refused to stop and drove to a home in the 1100 block of Pavie Street, where the driver and passenger fled on foot. The driver ran into the house, and the passenger fled on into the neighborhood, evading officers.
When the driver, identified as Yepremian Zeno came outside again he was arrested without incident.
Officers recovered multiple controlled substances from the vehicle and a gun that had been reported stolen.
Inside the vehicle, officers recovered:
• One Springfield XD-9 that was reported stolen through the Natchitoches Police Department
• Approximately 904.1 grams of marijuana
• Four grams of suspected synthetic marijuana
• 27 small bags of suspected Fentanyl
• 31 grams of suspected methamphetamine
• Ten grams of suspected cocaine
• One pill suspected to be Cyclobenzaphine Hydrochloride
• 1085 pills of suspected MDMA (ecstasy)
• Four units of Buprenorphine Naloxone
• 29 Acetaminophen Oxycodone pills
• 232 Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills
• 45 Alprazolam (Xanax) pills
• Ten yellow Alprazolam (Xanax) pills
• 150 yellow Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills
• Two white Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills
• 50 Oxycodone pills
• 28 orange Amphetamine Dextroamphetamine pills
• 22 light blue Alprazolam (Xanax) pills
• 75 white Xanax pills
• Three ecstasy unique purple pills
• One Candy Fumez THC product
• $2,487 in currency
Yepremian Zeno was placed in the LaSalle Corrections / Natchitoches Detention Center for Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies, seventeen counts of Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of CDS, Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm, three counts of Possession of Schedule I with the Intent to Distribute, seventeen counts of Possession of Schedule II, one count of Possession of Schedule IV and four counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and traffic related violations.

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – We're getting new video of an arrest at a gas station in Santa Fe over the weekend, where police say a man confronted someone with a gun. Police connected 40-year-old Jose Nava with a handgun found inside a Speedway, and they believe it was the same weapon used to threaten a person earlier that day. 'Mr. Nava, let me see your hands. Hands up, turn around,' said a Santa Fe Police officer. Video shows the moment inside a Santa Fe gas station when officers put Jose Nava in handcuffs. Earlier in the day, Saturday, Santa Fe police responded to a report of a man threatening someone with a gun at the Speedway on Siler Road and Agua Fria Street. The victim told police a white truck and a blue Dodge pulled up to the gas station. That's when they say the man in the white truck got out and started threatening the victim while holding a pipe. Santa Fe college in jeopardy of losing federal funding Police said the victim raised his hands and told the man he didn't want any problems. Then the man in the blue Dodge, who police believe was Jose Nava, pulled out a handgun and pointed it towards the victim. When the victim asked what Nava wanted him to do, he responded by telling the driver to get in their car and get out of there. The victim complied, got in his car, and left. He gave police the license plate of the blue truck, and also said there was a female passenger in the truck, too. But when police go to arrest Nava, he says, 'That guy that pulled a gun out here, bro.' 'So we're here to talk to you about that, but you also have a warrant out for your arrest, okay?' a Santa Fe officer told Nava. After the arrest, police executed a search warrant at the Speedway. The crime scene unit showed up to help find the brandished gun. Santa Fe businesses' frustrations grow as road project continues Along with a key part of the team, a police service dog. Within minutes, the police K-9 points out a potential location of the gun to his handler. Video later shows police pull out the weapon from a box of chips. 'My dog was right,' said the K-9 handler. Nava was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe adult detention center for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence. 'Keep your hands up, don't move,' said one officer. Nava was also booked on an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in a domestic violence-related case. Santa Fe police said they found two handguns and a shotgun in Nava's truck. Authorities located the body of a 17-year-old boy in a Georgia Lake on Friday after he went missing the day before. Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Game Wardens located Jackson Cole Croft just before 4 p.m. ET on Friday, June 6 from Allatoona Lake, Georgia DNR Public Affairs Officer Mark McKinnon told USA TODAY. Croft was recovered shortly after, from 22 feet in the water, by local divers. Located in northwest Georgia, Allatoona Lake is about 35 miles north of Atlanta. Croft was reported missing on Thursday, June 5 after a boat he was on was found circling in the lake with no driver, McKinnon previously told USA TODAY. Croft and his family were avid members of the racing community in Woodstock, Georgia. The 17-year-old had recently begun driving racing car No. 9 at the Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, about 30 miles north of Atlanta. "Jackson had been around racing his entire life with his dad, Jason Croft. He started his racing career this year and was on a path to make his mark in the industry."
