A Calgary man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman he met on a dating app.
Police say the pair started chatting in November 2024 and eventually planned to meet up in person.
They went to a downtown restaurant together on Nov. 19, 2024. Afterward, the woman went with the man back to his home.
Police say once inside, the woman was assaulted.
She reported the incident to police earlier this year.
On Wednesday, police announced Nathaniel Mark Thomson, 30, has been charged with one count of sexual assault.
He's scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 5.
In Canada, there is no time limit on reporting a sexual assault.
