ROP extradites British national to UK over drug-related charges

Muscat – In a move that underscores Oman's commitment to international law enforcement cooperation, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has extradited a British national to the United Kingdom, where he is wanted on drug-related charges.
The extradition was carried out through coordination between the Royal Oman Police and Interpol's National Central Bureaus (NCBs), reinforcing global efforts to combat organised crime and enhance cross-border policing mechanisms.
According to the ROP, the operation forms part of its ongoing initiatives to strengthen international collaboration in tracking and apprehending individuals wanted globally. It also highlights the sultanate's dedication to contributing effectively to international efforts aimed at ensuring security and stability.
Authorities reaffirmed their resolve to support organised crime prevention, uphold legal cooperation across borders, and streamline the process of locating and extraditing wanted individuals.
