Salisbury Sea Cadets bagged numerous medals in recent rowing and sailing regattas. The unit travelled to Poole Harbour on Saturday, July 12 to compete in the Southern Area Rowing Regatta. The cadets had trained rigorously since early spring, earning their place by qualifying at the Wessex District Regatta. The Salisbury teams excelled, clinching a range of gold medals in categories such as Open Mixed Yoles, Junior Mixed Yoles, Open Boy Yole, Open Girl Yole, Junior Boys T500 and Open Girls T500. They also won a silver medal in the Open Boys T500 category. Additionally, a Salisbury crew emerged victorious in the technical Rowing Boat Handling Competition. The winning teams are now preparing for the National Combined Regatta, scheduled to be held at the ExCel Centre in London on Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30.
