Gadkari to inaugurate Sigandur bridge today

will inaugurate South India's second-largest cable-stayed bridge in Sigandur, built across the Sharavathi River in Sagara taluk on Monday. The bridge is also called the Ambaragodlu-Kalasavalli bridge.
The preparations for the event have been finalised.
Gadkari, accompanied by Union minister Pralhad Joshi, will commence the tour by inaugurating a Rs 473 crore cable-stayed bridge spanning the Sharavathi backwaters at Kalasavalli around 2 pm. The bridge will improve accessibility for residents and visitors. State public works minister Satish Jarkiholi has confirmed his participation. Following the inauguration, Gadkari will speak at a public gathering at Nehru Maidan in Sagara.
On July 14, Gadkari will visit Sagara taluk in Shivamogga to launch various development projects valued at Rs 2,056 crore across different districts. A significant project includes the National Highway-369E development from Sagara to Marakutika, costing Rs 625 crore, which will incorporate this bridge to enhance regional connectivity.
