Yamamoto (4-3) suffered his third loss after giving up two home runs, including a grand slam, in five innings of work at Chase Field. Gabriel Moreno's grand slam to right-center broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning. Ketel Marte also homered off the Japanese right-hander to give the D-backs a 5-0 lead in the fifth. Yamamoto, the National League Pitcher of the Month for March-April, allowed six hits while walking one and striking out four in an 88-pitch outing. "(In the fourth) I issued a walk and hit a batter. After those basic mistakes, I surrendered a home run," said Yamamoto, whose ERA rose to 1.80 from 0.90. "The way I loaded the bases was bad. I should reflect on that." Brandon Pfaadt (6-2) outpitched Yamamoto with 6-1/3 scoreless innings.
