CM inaugurates new bank branch in Sukma's Jagargunda
Raipur: The people of the Jagargunda area in Sukma district, long affected by Maoism, will now have access to banking facilities. Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday virtually inaugurated a branch of Indian Overseas Bank in Jagargunda, Sukma, from his official residence. This new branch is set to benefit approximately 14,000 villagers residing in the surrounding 12 villages, officials said. CM Sai described the occasion as a historic day for the region's residents, noting the area's long struggle with Maoism. He attributed the opening of the bank branch to this progress, which will now facilitate the delivery of welfare scheme benefits to the local population. The CM highlighted the state govt's strategy focused on security, development, and trust-building, along with the continuous efforts of security forces and the strong resolve of both the central and state govts. He recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guarantee to provide banking facilities in all gram panchayats. In line with this, he mentioned the launch of 1460 Atal Panchayat Digital Seva Kendras on April 24, National Panchayat Day, covering 10 gram panchayats in each development block, where villagers have already begun to avail themselves of banking services. 11k village panchayats will get banking facilities in a yr: CM
Raipur: Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai announced that more than 11,000 village panchayats in the state will have banking facilities within the next one year. He made the announcement while addressing a public grievances redressal camp in Patna village of Surajpur district as part of the ' Sushasan Tihar ' (good governance festival) on Thursday. CM Sai noted that on National Panchayat Day, April 24, state launched Atal Digital Seva Kendras (Common Service Centers) in 1,460 gram panchayats in the first phase. These centers offer digital services including banking, fund transfers, and official document generation. The second phase will cover 5,000 more panchayats. CM emphasized that his govt is committed to eliminating corruption through systemic reforms. "We are shutting down all avenues of corruption," he said. Now, land mutation (naamantaran) is completed on the same day as the online registry—an overhaul from the previous system where people had to wait for also said that simplified procedures for intra-family land transfers. "Property can now be transferred to family members with just a Rs 500 fee under the new framework for family donations and relinquishment of rights," he said.

Tripura signs MoU with the IIM to provide advanced training to Panchayat officials
Tripura government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute Of Management–Shillong (IIM–Shillong) to provide advanced training to Panchayat officials of the State. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha during the National Panchayat Day celebrations here on Saturday. Mr. Saha acknowledged the dedicated efforts of Panchayats in delivering effective rural governance which has been recognised through national awards. He highlighted Tripura's success in various parameters including in the winning of seven National Panchayat Awards last year. He further underlined that Tripura has set an example for the rest of the country in terms of empowering the three-tier Panchayat system. He said the Panchayat department of the State government is committed to implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat aimed at developing rural India. As part of the National Panchayat Day celebrations, the Chief Minister inaugurated a new smart office and video conference office, declared all Panchayats in the State as disability-friendly, introduced a newsletter called 'Gram Srijan' and unveiled the annual report of the Panchayat Department. He also presented certificates of appreciation to various Panchayats and Panchayat officials for their exceptional work in areas such as climate protection, self-reliance, e-governance and special initiatives.
