Luminox Adds Lightweight Carbonox To Navy SEAL 3500 Series
Navy SEAL 3500
Luminox has just introduced a new variation to its long-standing Navy SEAL 3500 series, this time with a fully Carbonox case, bezel, and bracelet. The result is the lightest model the brand has ever produced in this collection, combining tactical functionality with a stealthy, minimalist design.
Built for professionals who rely on their gear under extreme conditions, this new model keeps the same 45mm case diameter and rugged specs the series is known for. But the key update is the full integration of Carbonox across the case and bracelet, including an oyster-style link construction that sheds significant weight without sacrificing strength.
Dial
Carbonox, a proprietary carbon-based composite, has been a Luminox signature for years. It's lightweight, durable, and resists temperature fluctuations and harsh chemicals. In this execution, the matte-black material gives the watch a subdued, non-reflective finish, ideal for tactical use but also blends in well for regular daily wear.
The screw-down stainless steel crown and caseback, engraved with the Navy SEALs logo, help deliver 200 meters of water resistance. A hardened mineral crystal protects the dial, while the unidirectional rotating bezel, also in Carbonox, allows for precise timing in the field.
Lume
Powering the watch is a Swiss-made Ronda 515 quartz movement with a 50-month battery life. As with all Luminox models, it features the brand's signature Luminox Light Technology, which uses tritium gas tubes to provide constant low-light visibility, no button pushes, no external charging, and no fading for up to 25 years.
At $645 USD, this version offers a practical combination of durability, comfort, and legibility in a slimmed-down profile. It's a logical choice for those who appreciate a purpose-built tool watch with zero excess, but still want the confidence of a Swiss-made quartz watch.
