Rubu' Qarn Science and Technology launches 2nd 'Nawah' on 19 July
The initiative targets students from grades 9 to 12 from the Emirate of Sharjah, accompanying them on an advanced scientific journey that blends passion with discovery, enriches their skills, and opens wide horizons for deep thinking. Fostering Design Thinking and Scientific Innovation Among the Next Generation The second edition of 'Nawah' builds upon the success of its first edition, which empowered over 60 participants by enhancing their creative abilities and deepening their understanding of eight advanced science and technology fields. Participants also completed 18 innovative scientific projects during a hackathon challenge, demonstrating the programme's impact in stimulating design thinking and scientific innovation among tomorrow's leaders and scientists. A Seven-Day Programme Offering Rich Content The seven-day programme delivers rich content, beginning with ambitious thinking and the next revolution in science. Participants will then engage in hands-on, inspiring experiences in robotics programming, Arduino boards, synthetic biology, and microtechnology. The journey continues with explorations in agricultural technologies and food innovations, culminating in a Challenge Day through a collaborative hackathon experience that showcases their creative, design, and tech problem-solving skills. Inspiring Discussions and External Visits Nawah offers participants a host of benefits, including the chance to take part in inspiring discussion sessions with a select group of experts, as well as external field visits to various local entities. These activities provide them with deeper exposure to leading-edge scientific disciplines, and introduce them to key sectors and career pathways for success, leadership, and impact.
