When Nayanthara left films for love, relationship pressure, later made strong comeback
Nayanthara , one of the most popular actresses in South Indian cinema, once took a big break from films because of her personal life. In her documentary, she opened up about how a past relationship affected her deeply and even led her to leave the film industry for some time. Madras HC issues notice to makers of Nayanthara's documentary
The plea was filed by AP International, a film distribution company, which had acquired the copyright for the Rajinikanth starrer, which featured Nayanthara in a key role. The Madras High Court has issued a notice to the production house that made Nayanthara : Beyond the Fairytale over a plea which claimed that the documentary had unauthorisedly used scenes from Rajnikanth's Chandramukhi (2005). The OTT platform streaming the documentary has also received the notice. The plea was filed by AP International, a film distribution company, which had acquired the copyright for the Rajinikanth starrer, which featured Nayanthara in a key role. The company alleged that the documentary, which traces the life of the Jawan actress, used clips of Chandramukhi which were taken directly from the company's YouTube channel without obtaining authorisation or a licence. They also claimed that they had previously issued a cease-and-desist notice demanding that the unauthorised usage of the clips be stopped and further sought ₹5 crore in damages. It is said that the production house approached the distribution company to acquire the digital exploitation rights after receiving the notice, but an agreement was not reached between the parties on the acquisition of the rights.
