The chart star, known for tracks including Pretty Boys, began writing songs in lockdown. Her tune Average Student is about how mundane life is and amassed half a million views in less than a day after being uploaded to TikTok. She has already collaborated with Sigala, Mae Muller and Stefflon Don. Yet away from her success on the music scene, she spoke frankly about her terrible childhood ordeal in the MAFS expert's latest podcast. Caity, who was born in Southampton, revealed the meaning behind her new track The Weight Of You and said the meaning was "a big one." Paul encouraged her to "throw a boundary" in the chat whenever she needed to as he raised how she was sexually assaulted at the age of eight, and to "say only what you are comfortable saying." Caity then confessed: "I was eight years old and I was out with my grandad and going back to his house and it was my grandad's next door neighbour that did it to me. "Who I knew, and spent a lot of time together, and he was really lovely to me. She then continued of the alleged perpetrator: "He started talking he sort of like grabbed me and pulled me in, and yeah. "That [sexual assualt] happened, I came out, and obviously was like 'that was wrong.' "I went to my grandad and burst into tears and said 'take me home'." Caity then told how the ordeal had sadly strained her relationship with her grandfather. She broke down in tears as she suggested the incident had been where "all the issues with myself had stemmed from." Fans were quick to offer their support and praise Caity's candid approach. One wrote: "Wow what a beautiful conversation and big up Caity for your honesty. Talking about these difficult conversations will help so many people." A second put: "This really spoke to me. "I was afraid I was gonna hurt someone's feelings, afraid to say how I actually felt. "Now that I have a platform of people supporting me and telling me that they want me to tell them how I feel, why wouldn't I do it? Katie, 46, spoke in an interview with Paul C. Brunson on his We Need To Talk podcast. She revealed: 'I had three kidnap threats as well. And I couldn't take my kids to school for three months. I had Scotland Yard do it. 'There was a time where Scotland Yard police formed camped beds outside my bedroom door and outside my property ... 'One was a million pound ransom for Harvey, and a car accident was going to be set up. 'They were going to fake being the police and pull me up as ransom and take Harvey and I said to them, if you know all this is happening, why can't you arrest the people? 'Fortunately, I knew when the group was on my way to the house. 'I was in London, and the police said, 'Hey, don't go home. We're following the gang now from Liverpool.' 'They were on route to my house.' Katie has previously revealed several different attempts on her family. Katie Price reveals harrowing ordeal with abusive ex who cut up her clothes In 2016 Katie took her car to a garage where a mechanic discovered a suspicious device attached to the frame. It was later found to be an electronic tracking device, and the police were called in. Two years later, Katie and her eldest children, Junior and Princess, were held at gun-point in South Africa while filming a reality show. She was filming a reality show when she and the film crew were ambushed driving towards Swaziland from Johannesburg Katie spent time in a Priory rehab clinic, where she was diagnosed with PTSD after the attack. She told The Sun in 2018: "The reason I went there was because I got held at gunpoint and sexually assaulted. 'Six men attacked us after we stopped because my son Junior needed a wee. 'We should never have been allowed to make that journey without security. 'It was like something from a horror film. This big man in an adidas hoody was shouting in my face, swearing and demanding I give him everything. And he was touching me down below. 'I grabbed a pillow and launched myself in front of the kids, trying to protect them, waiting for a bullet to hit me. I thought I was going to die. Police said it was a miracle they didn't kill us." In the candid interview Katie went into depth about trauma she's suffered throughout her life. She spoke about an abusive ex boyfriend who cut up her clothes. She also claimed that she'd been cheated on in every relationship she's had and often felt the women her partners had gone with were worse looking than herself which knocked her confidence.
