Bengaluru: RTO officer lodges sexual harassment plaint against senior; accused alleges conspiracy
A 47-year-old motor vehicle inspector working in Nelamangala Regional Transport office has filed a sexual harassment complaint against her senior, who is the acting in-charge officer.
The accused identified as Rajkumar , has been booked by the Madanayakanahalli police on Monday under Section 75 (Sexual harassment) of BNS.
The victim, in her complaint, said that the Rajkumar used to force her to remove her jacket and allegedly told her to 'cooperate' to get the duty of her choice.
Reacting to the complaint, Rajkumar alleged that this was a conspiracy by her and other staff members against him. He alleged that the complainant who is on her probation was wearing additional stars on her shoulder strap along with other officers, which is against the rules.
'I told them to follow the rules and they started wearing jackets to hide this. They were absent for the Independence Day celebration which was compulsory and I took objection. The officer was not wearing the uniform which is mandatory. I asked them to follow the protocol and respect rules ,' he told the media.
'The officerwanted duty on specific post and with a specific drive. I told her that that she needs to follow the rules and no privileges will be given. In order to take revenge, she along with others conspired this and filed a complaint,' Mr. Rajkumar said.
