Kerry Katona shares health diagnosis after finding lumps
Kerry Katona has shared her diagnosis after she was left 'worried' over discovering several lumps on her jaw last week, leading to the star undergoing treatment. Kerry Katona has given an update on a new diagnosis after discovering mysterious lumps on her jaw and undergoing treatment. Last week, the mum-of-five admitted in her weekly column that she was 'nervous' after the discovery led to her booking an emergency dentist appointment. And now, she has shared that the appointment led to treatment and has left her in 'agony'. "I've been in a lot of pain this week – it's been so tough. The lumps in my jaw I wrote about last week turned out to be an infection, so I had to get three root canal procedures at once," she wrote in her New! Magazine column this week. Kerry continued: "I've been in agony ever since and just wanted to stay in bed –but with work so hectic right now, I can't do that. Wish Dental has been amazing at looking after me, so I want to thank them. "I'm filming Celebs Go Dating and having to act cheery when I'm in agony. I just want to get back to being the Kerry everyone wants. Fingers crossed for some recovery," she concluded. Kerry previously admitted that she is a 'hypochondriac', explaining how her mind automatically goes to the worst case scenario. She said: "I'm still feeling really run down after being ill last week. I had to get an emergency dentist appointment because I had so much pain on the left side of my face. I've got lumps on my jaw which they are going to test to see what is wrong, but the dentist thinks it's to do with my glands. "I'm a massive hypochondriac at the best of times, so I'm feeling a bit nervous about it all, to be honest." Previously, Kerry even shared how her health anxiety mixed with some 'unbearable pain' had her fearing she had cancer. After doctors found blood in her cervix during a check last year, Kerry said: "When I got that news, in my head I thought 'I've got cancer, I'm going to die'." The news left Kerry 'terrified' and even considering marrying her-at-the-time partner Ryan Mahoney so that he could be a legal guardian of her daughter DJ, whose dad George Kay died in 2019. However, thankfully, "It's crazy how much a woman's body goes through and what stress can do to our cycles," she said the following week.

Kerry Katona says 'get me on Loose Women' in brutal swipe at ITV cuts
Kerry Katona has joked for Loose Women to enlist her as a panellist to add some 'spice' to the show amid ITV cuts which will see the long-running series on TV much less. Kerry Katona has called for ITV to bring her onto daytime show Loose Women amid cuts across the channel, with the long-running show being cut back to a 'seasonal' schedule of 30 weeks a year in cost-saving measures. Alongside the scheduling change, nearly 220 staff members could lose their jobs across ITV 's daytime schedule, affecting flagship shows like Loose Women, Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, and This Morning. Giving her opinion on the broadcaster's worrying shake-up, former singer Kerry, 44, wrote in her New! Magazine column:"So, ITV has announced big cuts, with Loose Women and Lorraine scaled back to just 30 weeks a year, which I think is a shame. But if I'm honest, I'm not completely surprised. I think in the modern world it can be difficult for shows like these to stay afloat. "People don't watch live TV like they used to. But saying that, things can always be revived. I've been around for many years and am still reinventing myself and coming back stronger, so I don't think it's the end for the shows. They need to get me on the Loose Women panel. I'd certainly add some spice!" Kerry has appeared as a guest on Loose Women several times over the years, but never as a permanent panellist. While Loose Women has taken a hit, morning chat show Lorraine, fronted by Lorraine Kelly, will see the most drastic changes. It's to be reduced from an hour-long show to just 30 minutes and will go on-air for 30 weeks a year, rather than 52. A spokesperson for ITV said of the latest move that it was not related to the performance of any of its shows, but about centralising its national news-gathering production in one place and investing resources into high-profile shows such as Mr Bates vs The Post Office and big sporting events like the football World Cup. Last year there was already talk that ITV was tightening its belt and flagship daytime shows were reportedly in 'crisis talks'. Denise Welch recently told the Mirror before the latest changes were announced, 'When Loose Women first started, it was never a staple of the daytime schedules like it is now. It was on for three months, off for three months. Then another programme came along and notched it down to half an hour, which the racing still does – but we've got our place.' The Waterloo Road actress added, 'There's life in these old girls yet. Older women's voices are so important, and I'm very proud to be a part of a show that continues to celebrate that.'

Kerry Katona 'scared' as she finds lumps in latest health ordeal
Kerry Katona has revealed a new health scare which has left her feeling 'nervous' as she detailed finding mystery lumps on her jaw, leading to an emergency appointment. Kerry Katona has shared how she is suffering from a new health scare as she admits to finding several lumps in her jaw earlier this week, detailing how the discovery has left her 'nervous'. Writing in her New! Magazine column, the former singer, 44, explained how she was feeling 'run down' and requested an emergency appointment after finding the mystery lumps. "I'm still feeling really run down after being ill last week. I had to get an emergency dentist appointment because I had so much pain on the left side of my face. I've got lumps on my jaw which they are going to test to see what is wrong, but the dentist thinks it's to do with my glands," she explained. Kerry continued to explain, "I'm a massive hypochondriac at the best of times, so I'm feeling a bit nervous about it all, to be honest." It's not the first time Kerry has opened up about her health anxiety , after fearing she had cancer last year while suffering with 'unbearable pain'. "The pain became unbearable," she told OK! at the time. "I'm used to feeling sore because of my scoliosis, but it was getting to the point I wasn't sleeping. I would be up all night and I'd also isolate myself one week every month because I couldn't do anything. I couldn't move and I'd be constantly crying." Kerry continued to explain how doctors found blood in her cervix, admitting: "When I got that news, in my head I thought 'I've got cancer, I'm going to die'." The news left Kerry 'terrified' and even considering marrying her-at-the-time partner Ryan Mahoney so that he could be a legal guardian of her daughter DJ, whose dad George Kay died in 2019. However, thankfully, Kerry got the all clear that there was no cancer and the pain was chalked down to stress. "It's crazy how much a woman's body goes through and what stress can do to our cycles," she said the following week. Admitting she thinks her newest health issues are down to a hectic schedule, Kerry has been full-on filming Celebs Go Dating while balancing motherhood and launching a new venture in Thailand - a wellness package with beach resort The Beach Samui. Detailing how her time on Celebs Go Dating, which will air later this summer, is going so far, Kerry said in her column: "Life has been so full-on with filming Celebs Go Dating at the moment, it's crazy! I want to give a massive shoutout to my hair stylist Dan Carter and my make-up artist Dayna Mansfield for making me look so glamorous day in, day out." Detailing her excitement to have Donna Preston join the cast as a late arrival, Kerry continued, "I'm also so excited that Donna Preston has joined the line-up – she's amazing. I couldn't believe it – one minute I'm watching her on Celebrity Big Brother and the next she's filming next to me. I really wanted her to win CBB, but hopefully she finds love on the show and we can go on some double dates."

While they kept the reasons for their split private at the time, both Tommy and Molly-Mae later disclosed that it was Tommy's unstable relationship with alcohol that led to their troubles. In earlier episodes of Molly-Mae's documentary, she confessed that Tommy's drinking had affected her deeply, recounting times she was "begging and pleading" with him not to drink at family events, including her sister Zoe's wedding. The founder of Maebe also revealed she "couldn't remember" any instances where his drinking didn't result in "disaster." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
