Arab Finance: a leading aqua tech solutions provider, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CSCEC International Construction Egypt a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation in Egypt, as per an emailed press release. Under the signed MoU, will implement water features in CSCEC's landmark projects in Egypt. This collaboration comes as part of broader plan to advance national infrastructure and drive Egypt's sustainable economic growth. partnership with CSCEC began with the launch of the 'Downtown Lagoon' project in New Alamein City. Through this collaboration, will deliver comprehensive, end-to-end services covering design, civil works, electromechanical works, project management, and maintenance throughout the entire lifecycle of water-centric projects. Sherif ElSherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, recently signaled the start of the trial filling of the largest main lake within the 'Downtown Lagoon' project, designed by the Italian company Myrtha Pools. The goal of this phase is to test the waterproofing system, making it the first of the project's eleven lakes to enter trial operation. Spanning 15 feddans, this lake is distinguished by seven islands surrounded by a tourist promenade, as well as dedicated paths for bicycles and electric vehicles. 'The Downtown area of New Alamein City serves as a cornerstone of the state's vision to build globally competitive smart cities, under an integrated urban masterplan spanning approximately 49,000 feddans,' Amr Khattab, Infrastructure General Manager & Spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, said. Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Sunday inspected the Downtown Towers and Downtown Lagoons projects in New Alamein City to review their progress, his office said. Following meetings at the government's headquarters in the new coastal city, Madbouly toured the sites accompanied by Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Sherif El-Sherbiny, and other ministry officials. At the Downtown Towers project, Madbouly said the aim was to make the area one of the most famous and attractive destinations globally and locally, through unique architectural designs situated around a lakes area. He added that the area would embody sustainability and the characteristics of a smart city with international standards. The housing minister explained that the project is being implemented by the Chinese company CSCEC, similar to the Central Business District towers in the New Administrative Capital. The project includes the construction of five fully-finished residential towers, featuring an 'iconic' tower 250 metres high (68 storeys) and four other towers each 200 metres high (56 storeys). Madbouly also reviewed the progress of the Downtown Lagoons project, which is situated between the towers. El-Sherbiny explained that the trial filling of the largest of the project's 11 lakes has begun to test its equipment, components, insulation, and engineering works.
