RCMP officers gave some goats a ride to a safe space from the wildfires (no, really!)
Lita Mae Button needed to get her goats somewhere safe. Julia Parsons of New Life Rescue and Adoption Inc. in Carbonear has a space that is housing all sorts of animals. All that was left to figure out was how to get the goats there. Enter a couple of police officers.

Easterseals talks telethon results and upcoming camps
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- 2025 marked another successful year for the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center's Annual telethon, raising over $900,000 for essential therapy services for the local community. Poseyville students donate $3,400 to New Life Rescue The organization will also host their 29th iCan Bike camp this summer to help participants learn to ride a bike. The iCan Bike Camp takes place from June 9-13 and is open to anyone 8 years and older and costs $200. Participants will learn to ride with assistance for 75 minutes a day.
