‘We're home': Hamilton welcomes new Canadians on Newcomer Day
New Canadians took the citizenship oath Friday as part of Hamilton Newcomer Day, a citywide celebration of inclusion and community held at city hall. Hosted by the Hamilton Immigration Partnership Council, the event helped newcomers connect with services, explore local culture and celebrate their contributions to the city. The day began with a citizenship ceremony in council chambers and continued with live music, games, and food on the forecourt.
