Lee County Sheriff's Office The following reports were filed Wednesday by the Lee County Sheriff's Office. A County Road 1559, Nettleton, woman said her neighbor has four hogs that are not being properly cared for. She said they have no water and are not getting enough to eat. She said the mud in their pen is so thick they can barely walk. She requested a welfare check. A County Road 231, Blue Springs, man said he has been in the hospital for more than a week. While he has been away from his property, several items came up missing, including an anvil, a string trimmer and a grill. He does not know who stole the items but believes more items were taken. He said he will call back when he finds out what else is missing. A County Road 520, Brewer, man said he heard what sounded like an ambulance drive past with its sirens going around 9 p.m. About five minutes later, he heard 40-50 gunshots. He did not see any cars pass by during that time and did not see anyone. He wanted to report the gunshots since it is 'abnormal for that many gunshots to get fired at that time of night.' Anyone with information on any of these reports is urged to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 841-9041, the Tupelo Police Department at 841-6491 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi at (800) 773-TIPS or download the P3 Tip App and leave an anonymous tip that way.
