Woman with pram sexually assaulted in Bridgwater
A woman was sexually assaulted while she was pushing a pram, police say.A man reportedly tried to engage her in an unwanted conversation on 6 July while she was walking on Northgate in Bridgwater, woman became distressed when he followed her and she sought help from a couple to stop his advances, who Avon and Somerset Police want to speak to, the force said.A 37-year-old man from Kingston-Upon-Hull in East Yorkshire was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and released under investigation. Sgt Nicola Brown said the force was not aware of any similar incidents and officers had carried out reassurance patrols. The suspect is described as a white male who was wearing a black T-shirt with reflective strips, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers."We are aware there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident and would ask anybody who witnessed the incident or has any relevant information which could assist our enquiries to come forward," Sgt Brown added.

Now, police are appealing for more information about the incident and are particularly eager to hear from the couple who were approached by the woman. Sergeant Nicola Brown said: 'We remain in close contact with the victim, ensuring she receives all necessary support. "Our investigation continues with further CCTV enquiries in the area. 'At this time, we are not aware of any similar incidents, and reassurance patrols were promptly carried out following the report. 'We are aware there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident and would ask anybody who witnessed the incident or has any relevant information which could assist our enquiries to come forward.' Doncaster substance addiction walk-in service introduced
A new service aims to provide faster support for people seeking help over substance addiction issues in South Yorkshire. The walk-in facility on Thorne Road in Doncaster is being offered by the Aspire drug and alcohol charity in partnership with the said it aimed to offer people a full assessment on the same day or soon who misuse alcohol, ketamine, cannabis, cocaine or prescription drugs are among those to benefit, the charity said, with the service funded by City of Doncaster Council. Nicola Brown, Aspire case manager, said: "We can see people and potentially get them treatment the same day as they walk in."If not, it can take three to five days depending on the issue they initially present with."She added: "Before this service came about, people could have been waiting anything from two to six weeks for help."The service at Rosslyn House included registration for support, health assessments and access to Brown said a quick response provided a much better chance of success for the individual. "They need it right there and then to keep the momentum going and to help them become alcohol or substance free," she said.
