Lannigan pleads guilty to pointing gun at woman, shooting pug named Buddy
Mitchell Lannigan pleaded guilty Friday to eight charges, three weeks after he punched a man and pointed a gun at a woman who tried to help him. The Crown and defence agreed he should go to prison for five years. CBC's Nicola MacLeod was in court.

Man facing 20 charges after triggering emergency alert in western P.E.I.
Mitchell Lannigan has been in jail since he was arrested two weeks ago. He's now facing 20 charges for alleged events in Miminegash, Tyne Valley and Summerside. Seventeen of those charges are related to guns. CBC's Nicola MacLeod has the details.

Alleged dog shooting leads to emergency alert, water pursuit and arrest in Summerside
Police forces on P.E.I. spent Wednesday morning pursuing Mitchell Lannigan. It all started on the weekend when he was accused of firing a handgun in Miminegash. Police caught up with him days later after he allegedly killed a dog. CBC's Nicola MacLeod explains.

Visitors cautioned to stay out of some streams in P.E.I. National Park due to high bacteria levels
New signs at some beaches in P.E.I. National Park are warning visitors to stay out of three streams of water that meet the ocean between Cavendish and North Rustico. That's because of high levels of E. coli bacteria from feces in the water, a fairly normal occurrence at this time of year. CBC's Nicola MacLeod explains.

Second World War artillery shell and canister of rocket fuel removed from Kensington town hall
Officials in Kensington, P.E.I., have reopened the town's municipal building after army representatives removed a dud mortar and half a canister of rocket fuel. The two items were dropped off by a resident who had found them in a local home. CBC's Nicola MacLeod explains.
