Nidec unit starts producing wafer-moving robots for chipmaking in China

KYOTO, Japan -- A Nidec group company has begun production of semiconductor wafer transfer robots in China, where the Japanese motor manufacturer sees an opportunity in a government push to develop the chip industry.
