Stephanie McMahon talks about foot injury, says "I oddly stubbed my foot walking"
Stephanie McMahon (Image via WWE) Stephanie McMahon has been one of the most important people in WWE for many years. But recently, fans have noticed that she is no longer very active in the company. Over the past year, she has taken a step back and has only appeared a few times at big WWE events. Many people started wondering what her role in WWE is now, but Stephanie seems to be enjoying her new life outside the spotlight. Even though she does not have an official job in WWE right now, she still supports her husband Triple H , especially during big events. Earlier this year, she surprised fans by opening Night 2 of WrestleMania 41. It showed that she still cares about WWE, but also wants to spend more time with her family and focus on other things in her life. Stephanie McMahon speaks about her injury In a recent episode of her podcast What's Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon , she spoke about an injury she got six months ago. She told her best friend Elyse Dudzinski about how she hurt her foot while training. Stephanie explained that she is still recovering from the injury. "I used to train in Vibrams, you know, the five fingers. But then, I hurt my foot training, remember, like, six months ago? And it's still not recovered. So, I still wear these comfy shoes," she said. She also shared how exactly it happened while she was working out. "I was doing single-leg drills, and then I was walking on the treadmill, and I oddly stubbed my foot walking," she said. Dominik Mysterio | What's Your Story? With Steph McMahon Stephanie also spoke about how her Vibram shoes helped her after giving birth. "They rebuilt the arch in my foot after I had the kids. My arch dropped and my foot, like, really grew and was very painful and uncomfortable... So, I got my first pair of Vibrams and I wore them all the time and they rebuilt the arch in my foot," she added. New projects of Stephanie McMahon and her family issues Since stepping away from WWE, Stephanie has started working on new projects. One of them is her podcast, where she shares personal stories and talks to different people. She also worked with ESPN and Omaha Productions to create a 10-episode series called Stephanie's Places. This show tells stories from important places in her life and career. Stephanie's Places with Triple H (Ep.9) Even though she is focused on her new life, there are still rumors about problems with her family. Some reports say that her relationship with her father Vince McMahon and her brother Shane is not good right now. These problems may have started after Vince tried to return to WWE a couple of years ago. Stephanie always supports Triple H in his work as the head of WWE's creative team. She may not be involved in running the company anymore, but she is still part of the WWE world in her own way. WrestleMania 41: Was it a good idea to involve Travis Scott in John Cena and Cody Rhodes' match?
John Cena beat Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 41 to win the Undisputed Championship. In doing so, he clinched a World Title for the 17th time and broke Ric Flair's record. The match was a reasonably watchable affair, which even included a referee bump. However, its ending paled in comparison to the one seen in the main event of 'Night 2' at 'Mania last year. Scott's involvement in the match, in particular, has received a mixed response. So, was it an avoidable move on the WWE's part? Let's analyse WrestleMania 41: What is Travis Scott's association with Cody Rhodes, John Cena's feud? Travis Scott was in the ring at the Elimination Chamber event when John Cena betrayed Rhodes on The Rock's orders. The rapper even assisted 'The Great One' as he teamed up with the Cenation Leader to give Rhodes a beating. Given Scott's association with The Rock, his presence at the event would have made perfect sense had 'The Final Boss' himself appeared on the show. However, the WWE legend was nowhere to be seen. This essentially diluted the impact of Travis Scott's cameo. To make matters worse, the ending paled in comparison to what was seen last year. The final moments of the Cody Rhodes-Roman Reigns bout at WrestleMania 40 saw Solo Sikoa and The Rock come to OTC's aid. Similarly, 'The American Nightmare' received help from John Cena himself and The Undertaker. This year's finish, simply put, lacked that type of star power. Travis Scott's involvement only made things worse on this front, as he is not really from the wrestling fraternity. What did Travis Scott do at WrestleMania 41? Travis Scott his presence felt towards the end and even pulled the referee out of the ring to help Cena at a crucial time. He eventually received a Cross Rhodes from 'QB 1'. Shortly thereafter, Cena hit Rhodes with a low blow and the title to get the three count. WrestleMania 41 was held in Las Vegas on April 19 and April 20. WrestleMania 41 results: Iyo Sky defends WWE Championship with electric win over Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley
Iyo Sky started WrestleMania 41, Night 2 in style. (Photo by Andrew Timms/WWE via Getty Images) (WWE via Getty Images) Iyo Sky reminded the world why she's the Women's World Champion when she, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley blew the roof off of Allegiant Stadium to start WrestleMania 41, Night 2 with their triple-threat title match. "The Empress of the Sky" overcame the odds and retained her title in the first of four title matches on WrestleMania Sunday. Advertisement The match started as you'd expect, with the sentiment that Sky was getting overlooked throughout the whole storyline. Belair and Ripley went at it after Sky tried to get the early momentum. With the two focusing on each other, it allowed Sky to get off some great double team offense, hitting a blockbuster to both women before a pin attempt on each. The pace of this was 100 miles per hour from the start, sticking some highlights with Sky's outside moonsault to Ripley after Ripley's apron senton landed on Belair. Belair got back into control when she hit a triple suplex on Sky, as she basked in boos from the crowd. Ripley and Belair teamed up briefly to take out Sky. The triple-threat moves started coming into play when Ripley hit a Razor's Edge on Sky into Belair. As the match progressed, the crowd heated up big time. Ripley appeared to have the match won after Sky ate a 450 splash from Belair before taking a Riptide, but the kick out came at 2.5. Sky started to look for the finish. She was met with a counter from Ripley that almost led to an avalanche Riptide. Sky countered with an arm drag before a failed moonsault, as Ripley kicked her into a KOD from Belair. Ripley broke up the pin, and the "this is awesome" chants began while Belair started embracing an impromptu heel role. Advertisement In the end, Belair used her braid to whip Ripley and hit a KOD. Sky broke up the pin with a big moonsault, giving her the pin for the win over Belair. Check out highlights of Sky's title defense below.
