American rock band Night Ranger set to perform in Bossier City
BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The American rock band Night Ranger is set to perform live in Bossier City. Academy-award winner Billy Bob Thornton coming to Bossier City The band gained popularity during the 1980s, particularly after the release of their second album, 'Midnight Madness.' The band members include Jack Blades, Kelly Keagy, Brad Gillis, Eric Levy, and Keri Kelli. Some of their biggest hits are '(You Can Still) Rock in America,' 'Sing Me Away,' 'Goodbye,' and 'When You Close Your Eyes.' Night Ranger has sold over 17 million albums worldwide and has performed on thousands of stages. You can see their performance at Live! 'Beatles on the Beach' returns to Delray Beach for four days of Beatles-themed fun
DELRAY BEACH — Beatlemania is back, this time in downtown Delray Beach. The city's international Beatles on the Beach Festival returns this weekend with an expected 10,000 guests in tow. Through Sunday, Beatles bands from Nashville, to Portugal, to Finland will take the main stage at Old School Square's amphitheater. "The Beatles are in a category of their own," festival producer Daniel Hartwell said. "They are their own genre. They are the Beatles genre." After attending International Beatleweek in Liverpool, Hartwell asked himself why Florida couldn't do the same. He's run the festival every year since 2019, with a two-year hiatus brought by the pandemic. This year's headliners are Night Ranger, a classic rock band hailing from San Francisco, Calif., and Live & Let Die: A Symphonic Tribute to Paul McCartney. All-inclusive, day or weekend passes are on sale now, starting at $39.50 per day. Multiple bands will play before the 8 p.m. headliners on Saturday. It's an event that gets the whole community involved, Hartwell said. Ticket holders get free drinks, gifts and discounts from venues throughout the city. Some of these include "Beatle Juice" from Deck 84, "Jello Submarine Shots" from Tin Roof and "Magical Mystery Mini Golf" at Putt'n Around. "We work hard to offer a real quality experience for people," Hartwell said. "And 200 years from now, we'll be still be listening to Beethoven and still be listening to The Beatles. I think that people really feel a soul connection to the Beatles." Friday, March 7, at 8 p.m. — Night Ranger at Old School Square Amphitheater: The American rock band has sold more than 17 million albums. The group "dominated the scene back in the 80s," Hartwell said, and will play Beatles favorites, as well as hits of their own, like "Sister Christian." Gates open at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at 8 p.m. — Live & Let Die at Old School Square Amphitheater: This multimedia symphonic tribute to Paul McCartney will feature screens portraying stories that go along with the music. Tony Kishman, the band's lead, was part of the original cast of the Beatlemania musical in New York City. "You will absolutely think you are seeing and hearing Paul McCartney," Hartwell said. Gates open at 1 p.m. Through Sunday, March 9 — "International Spotlight Band" The Peakles: The Portuguese band "captures the essence of The Beatles' music, bridging generations and continuing to inspire passion." The band will perform at four different venues through Sunday. Through Sunday, March 9 — Meet-and-greets with SiriusXM hosts: Throughout the weekend, "resident Beatles expert" Tom Frangione will meet with guests and even host a panel at Tin Roof Saturday at 10 a.m. Frangione has been part of the official Beatles Channel on SiriusXM since its launch in 2017. Other meet-and-greets are scheduled with Beatles Channel host Caitlin Larkin, Ringo Starr's drummer Gregg Bissonette and "Beatle Brunch" radio show host Joe Johnson. Through Sunday, March 9 — Beatles brunches: The first will be the SiriusXM Beatles Channel Panel Brunch at Tin Roof Saturday at 10 a.m. Also on Saturday, Beatles on the Beach Brunch will start at 11:30 a.m. at Deck 84, followed by live music starting at 2 p.m. A different brunch featuring a live band karaoke starts Saturday at 11 a.m. at Throw Social.
