LEGO and Nike launch partnership with products and events
Nike and the LEGO Group have announced a global multi-year partnership kicks off this summer with a series of immersive experiences and co-branded products. Over the upcoming months kids can take part in immersive experiences across different cities, as well as a collection of products, including LEGO sets and Nike footwear, apparel and accessories. Three-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson will support the partnership by helping to engage kids across digital channels. Wilson said: 'I have loved playing with LEGO bricks since I was a kid and know that my creativity and play helped me not only in sports but also at school and in life. I'm thrilled to be part of this partnership with Nike and the LEGO Group and know we can help to make a positive impact with kids and adults alike.' The first LEGO product goes on sale on July 1, with the LEGO Nike Dunk set. This 1180-piece set, for LEGO fans aged 10 and up, features a Nike Dunk, rotatable brick basketball toy and 'Dunk' slogan. Hidden within the Nike Dunk model are stash compartments as well as extra laces for custom colour swap-outs. The first Nike products will go on sale starting on August 1, beginning with the Nike Air Max Dn x LEGO Collection as well as a line of apparel and accessories, followed on September 1 by the Nike Dunk Low x LEGO Collection. From 7-11 June 2025, the Nike and LEGO Play Arena will be open to the public at LEGOLAND California Resort. From July 19-July 27, fans are invited to take part in a world of play at Nike and the LEGO Group's football activation in London. The buildable kit features a Nike Dunk, a movable brick basketball toy, and a standing 'Dunk' logo. Notably, the Nike Dunk model is equipped with hidden storage compartments for 'championship rings or other essentials, as well as extra laces for custom color swap-outs.' 'Inspired by the iconic sneaker, first born and worn over 40 years ago, this set is a celebration of sneaker culture and LEGO creativity that blends the worlds of building and basketball,' the companies explained. Police issue CCTV images connected to enquiries into robbery
Police Scotland have released images of two males who may be able to assist with their enquiries following a robbery which occurred on Thursday 31 October 2024. The incident occurred at around 2.40am at the Gorgie Road and Wardlaw Street junction in Edinburgh. Officers believe the males could assist them in their ongoing enquiries and are appealing for them or anyone who may recognise them or has information about this incident to get in touch. The first male (pictured) is described as being white, aged between 19-20 years old and approximately 5'8' in height. He has short, thick dark hair and facial hair. He was seen to be wearing a dark zip-up jumper with a Fred Perry logo on the left chest, socks but no shoes. The second male (pictured) is described as being white, aged between 18-19 years old and between approximately 5'11' and 6ft in height. He has short brown hair styled up at the front. He was seen to be wearing grey jogging bottoms, yellow and purple Nike Dunk style trainers and a black hooded jumper. A Police Scotland representative said: 'We urge the males pictured or anyone who may recognise them to contact us. If you have any information about this incident, please get in touch as soon as possible'. Anyone who can assist is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1439 of 31 October 2024.
