Shara Magomedov, Nikita Krylov added to UFC on ABC 9 card in Abu Dhabi UFC on ABC 9 is starting to take shape. In the promotion's first trip to Abu Dhabi this year, numerous fights have been added to the July 26 event headlined by former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker (26-8 MMA, 17-6 UFC) vs. Reinier de Ridder (20-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) at Etihad Arena. Shara Magomedov (15-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) will look to rebound from his first-career loss to Michael Page when he takes on Marc-Andre Barriault (17-9 MMA, 6-8 UFC), who makes a quick turnaround after knocking out Bruno Silva this past Saturday at UFC 315 in Montreal. UFC CEO Dana White announced the matchup in an Instagram live Tuesday night. ABU DHABI: The UFC, the mixed martial arts organization — in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism — makes a return to the UAE's capital with a highly anticipated middleweight fight, No. 5-ranked Robert Whittaker taking on rising star Reinier de Ridder on Saturday, July 26, at Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Former champion Whittaker (27-8-0, fighting out of New South Wales, Australia) is one of the UFC's most respected middleweights, rising to prominence with standout victories over Yoel Romero, Jared Cannonier and Marvin Vettori.
