GA Legislative Black Caucus to announce key priorities for remainder of 2025
ATLANTA, Ga. (WSAV) – The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus (GLBC) will unveil its legislativepriorities for the remainder of the year, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to advancingpolicies that promote economic equity, social justice and community empowerment inGeorgia. The GLBC remains anchored in the progress of the people it serves.
'As the largest Black caucus in the nation, we remain steadfast in our mission to protect anduplift our communities,' said Senator Nikki Merritt, Chair of the Georgia Legislative BlackCaucus. 'These priorities reflect the urgent needs of our constituents, and we are preparedto take bold legislative action to ensure meaningful progress.'
In the coming months, GLBC members will host town halls, community forums andlegislative meetings to discuss these pressing issues with constituents and policymakers.
'We cannot afford to stand still while our communities face systemic challenges,' addedGLBC Chair, Senator Merritt. 'The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus will continue to be a voicefor the people, fighting for policies that drive real change.'
