Buy Nissan Ariya Price, PPC or HP

Buying What should I be paying? You've got four trims, two batteries and a choice of front-wheel or four-wheel drive powertrains to choose from, starting at £39,655 for the entry-level Engage model and topping out at £56,620 for the Nismo with its perky twin motors. As an example on Nissan's own finance scheme, you'd be looking at around £590 a month for the Ariya in Advance trim with the bigger battery over three years/10,000 miles and a £4,500 deposit. Advertisement - Page continues below What are the trims like? The £39,655 Engage squeaks under the £40k threshold for the Expensive Car Supplement that comes with your VED bill. It offers the small 63kWh battery, 19in alloys, LED headlights, a heat pump, dual zone aircon, auto lights and wipers, rear parking camera and Apple/Android connectivity as standard. It's an extra £5k for the bigger 87kWh battery. Advance trim starts at £43,155 and adds a powered tailgate, heated front seats and windscreen, wireless phone charging, fancy ProPilot cruise control and 360-degree parking cameras. Again, it's £5k for the bigger battery and this time you can add another £2.7k on top for AWD. Evolve spec comes in from £47,150 with the same jumps for the bigger battery and extra motor on the rear wheels, this trim adding a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats, the power sliding centre console, Bose sound system and the head-up display. The £56,630 Nismo car has some exterior styling tweaks, light drivetrain upgrades and the bootful of extra power, as well as 20in alloys and some further styling upgrades on the inside. Advertisement - Page continues below The Ariya looked pricey compared to some of its competitors when it was launched, but recent reductions have actually brought the entry price down below a few of its main rivals. Which one should I go for? Range is the thing here – if it was our money, it would be going on the £48k Advance trim car with the bigger battery, for 329 miles of range and some choice equipment additions over the entry-level car (we love our heated seats). If you want to, you can add the panoramic sunroof (£1,295) and a Bose tech pack (£1,750) that features a 10-speaker sound system, head-up display and digital rearview mirror, but save it and go on a nice holiday instead. If you're after a performance EV and are eying up the £56k Nismo version, perhaps we could interest you in the infinitely more entertaining £65k Hyundai Ioniq 5 N? Or perhaps the £40k entry car plus a second-hand Caterham for sunny weekends. You know it makes sense.

New Nissan GT-R and expanded Nismo range to spearhead brand's renaissance

Times have been tough for Nissan in the last few years, but its plan for revitalisation is now coming together as the brand regroups and focuses on a new generation of models. Core to this plan is the high-performance sub-brand Nismo, which Nissan says will form one of three key nameplates, including Patrol and Juke, that it will rebuild the brand around. Advertisement - Article continues below Speaking with Auto Express, Nissan's regional vice president of marketing and mobility, Arnaud Charpentier, said: 'I see a future for Nismo. It's very clear. We will put this in the centre of the brand… We have Nismo, Patrol and Juke. Those strong nameplates for the brand are the equity. This is how we thrill our customers, so it will for sure come.' In regards to new Nismo models, nothing has yet been confirmed, but a new Nissan GT-R is definitely part of the plan. 'There are people working on this,' he told us. 'When, how, honestly, this we don't know. But today, we don't just need to make a sports car, but to do one with a powertrain that we foresee [working] in the coming years.' Of course, making a new GT-R is much more difficult than it was when the former R35 model was in development. In the EV age, straight-line performance and the augmentation of the drivetrain that were once a hallmark of the GT-R are relatively easy to attain thanks to the flexibility of electric motors. Nissan's top-brass are aware of this, and know the GT-R will need to be something different. Charpentier continued: 'If it is electric or electrified, it needs to remain a sports car. [But] if you end up with the same performance as an EV SUV, this is an issue... We need to reinvent the notion of a sports car.' What happens with Nismo is a little clearer, but the question of whether it will be expanded, Toyota GR-style, to include both high-performance versions of existing models and bespoke sports models remains to be seen. A quick way to offer high-performance models could start with a Nismo version of the new Micra, borrowing the e-motor and chassis upgrades from its Alpine A290 sister car. Other upgraded models, such as a hot version of the forthcoming Juke EV, could be a possibility, but the high level of variation between different markets could mean tastier models based on the Patrol SUV will be exploited in overseas markets. Nissan knows that its position as a global automotive super-power is no longer a foregone conclusion, so leaning into the nameplates that have brand equity will be critical in separating itself from competition from Chinese brands. Nissan's Mid-Engined Hot Hatch Is Back. And It's Even Cooler Now

A new electric Nissan Micra is coming in 2026, which should have fans of the famed hatchback at least excited to see the nameplate return. But before it does, Nissan wants to celebrate the third-generation Micra's 23rd birthday with a special reinvention of its one-off Micra 350SR. The original Micra 350SR was built by RML Group, the same racing team responsible for Nissan's 1990s British Touring Car success. Based on a standard 2002 Micra K12, the 350SR had a 3.5-liter V-6 engine from the Murano shoved behind the front seats, complete with headers from a 350Z and high-lift cams from Nismo. All told, it made 300 horsepower. Photo by: Nissan Photo by: Nissan Photo by: Nissan Twenty-five years later, Nissan is giving that 350SR the restomod treatment. Although it doesn't stray far from the original design, the updated Micra 350SR features new rounded LED headlights that pay homage to the upcoming Micra EV, a silver-and-blue livery with Nissan's '=III 23' iconography, and refreshed 18-inch RAYS wheels. The cabin goes mostly untouched, apart from a few light updates. The 350R's interior boasts modern seats and harnesses, a 9.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and speakers for blasting your favorite tunes—so long as you're not drowning out the sound of that V-6. The powertrain, thankfully, appears untouched. It's the same 3.5-liter V-6 from the Murano used in the original version, still making an estimated 300 horsepower. For a car that weighs just 2,646 pounds, that's plenty. The updated Micra 350SR debuts to the general public today at the 2025 SMMT Test Day at Millbrook Proving Ground in the UK—the very same track Nissan used to develop the car more than 20 years ago. 14 Source: Nissan The Latest From Nissan Nissan Would Sell a New Xterra Tomorrow If It Could Nissan Is Pausing Work on Some New Cars to Focus on Cost Cutting Share this Story Facebook X LinkedIn Flipboard Reddit WhatsApp E-Mail Got a tip for us? Nissan's made a brilliant 8-bit videogame set in Tokyo you can play right now for FREE Nismo's bringing the Nineties back in the shape of this OutRun style retro racer Skip 3 photos in the image carousel and continue reading Turn on Javascript to see all the available pictures. 1 / 3 Nissan has revealed a new videogame called 'Nismo Electric Racer Tokyo'. It is a videogame where you race an electric racecar in Tokyo and on first impressions it is… brilliant. Because it is brilliantly retro, transferring OutRun's glorious 8-bit aesthetic to one of the greatest cities in the world. Advertisement - Page continues below And because it is so brilliantly retro, you won't mind that it's wrapped up in the shape of Formula E. The game's been built to mark the upcoming Tokyo round of the all-electric racing series that Nissan's been campaigning in for years. Hence why you're not piloting an old R33 or R34 or 300ZX or Pulsar GTI or 200SX or literally any cool Nissan from the 90s or indeed any cool Nissan from history. No. You're piloting a Nissan Formula E car, as either of the team's current drivers (Oli Rowland and Norman Nato). Still, despite the fact you're not driving a cool old Nissan but a silent racing one, illustrator Kentaro Yoshida has turned out a bit of a pixelly masterclass here, rendering a Tokyo cityscape with the obligatory cherry blossom trees and Mount Fuji looming in the background. Just need a Yuzo Koshiro soundtrack and, yup, we're kids again. Best thing is, it's free! You can play it right now! And your Formula E racer won't run out of battery either! Head this way to have a play and post your experiences below. Advertisement - Page continues below Top Gear Newsletter Thank you for subscribing to our newsletter.
