Fugitive criminal held from IGI airport

Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur police arrested criminal Nisar Hussain alias Nisu after about two years of chase. The fugitive criminal, in his early 30s, who carries a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, was caught by the police from IGI airport in Delhi on June 18, it announced police said on Tuesday. Following the production before the court of law in Delhi, Nisu was brought here on transit remand for four days. "This is the first case for the Jamshedpur police wherein a lookout notice was issued against the accused and he was arrested laying a trap," said SSP, Piyush Pandey before media here. A main accused in the Pawan Singh murder case, which occurred on Gurudwara road in Mango on Aug 27, 2023, the criminal was wanted in murder, attempt to murder, firing, extortion, bombing, burglary, Arms Act cases. The SSP said that Nisu was operating the criminal activities as the kingpin of the gang since Amarnath was killed by the rival gang in Deogarh on July 28, 2023. The gangster was allegedly operating the criminal acts from Bahrain where he was hiding for two years. "Ansu will be taken into remand for further interrogation," said the SSP.
