This special weekend marks the first step forward on that journey, celebrating the spirit of India on one of the world's most iconic stages - Lincoln Centre. It will showcase the cast of more than 100 performers, opulent costumes and larger-than-life sets, 'The Great Indian Musical' is an unrivalled theatrical experience. The show, India's largest musical, with a line-up of exceptional Indian talent, along with a Tony and Emmy award-winning crew, has been conceived and directed by Feroz Abbas Khan," it added. This marquee production will bring together renowned artists such as Ajay-Atul for music, and choreographers Mayuri Upadhya, Vaibhavi Merchant, and Samir and Arsh Tanna. Adding to the visual grandeur, the show will feature costumes crafted by acclaimed fashion designer Manish Malhotra. Audiences can experience this spectacular performance during its exclusive five-show run. The opening night on September 12 will begin with an invite-only red carpet event, the 'Grand Swagat' (Grand Welcome), which will include the 'Swadesh Fashion Show Curated by Manish Malhotra', a tribute to India's rich textile traditions and master artisans. The evening will also highlight a curated culinary journey through the ages, showcasing ancient to contemporary Indian cuisine, specially prepared by Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna. According to Vanity Fair, Vikas Khanna said, 'NMACC is doing such an amazing job of making people understand India, and with her platform and her vision to bring India to the world, it's absolutely an honor just to be a part of this.' His menu, which is currently being made, will put more emphasis on a deep dive into flavors from across India. Apart from these two, Indian renowned Bollywood musicians including Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal, and classical musician Rishab Sharma, will be giving five soulful performances at The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation. The opening act of NMACC's grand production will be led by director Feroz Abbas Khan, which will depict nearly 7,000 years of Indian history with a breathtaking showcase featuring over 100 performers and expansive sets.
