Soup drive comforts, motivates learners
Tsakani – The Nkosinathi Mbonani Foundation gave the community hope by supporting learners with its winter soup and bread drive at Mbongeni Mgugudu Secondary School on July 12. The objective was to give matriculants attending an education camp a warm meal.
'By meeting their basic needs, the foundation aimed to create a comfortable and supportive environment where learners could focus on their studies without the distraction of hunger.
'This act of care and generosity served as a source of motivation for the learners in several ways. First, it showed them that the community valued their efforts and education.
'Second, it reminded them that they are not alone on their academic journey and that people and organisationsare rooting for their success,' said the organisation's founder, Nkosinathi Mbonani.
He said this emotional and physical support boosted the learners' morale and encouraged them to stay focused and committed to their studies.
'The learners are now affirmed that their hard work can lead to a brighter future. I am a firm believer in giving because umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu [I am because we are]. It truly takes a village to raise a child,' he concluded.
