French Open Day 6 Live Updates: Yuki Bhambri in action, Sabalenka beats Danilovic

Aryna Sabalenka has beaten Olga Danilović 6-2, 6-3 in the third round of the women's singles at Court Philippe-Chatrier. The top seed maintained her dominance over the Serbian throughout the fixture, earning five break points. Aryna Sabalenka has earned her fifth break point of the match and has extended her lead to 5-3 in the second set. She's just one game away from entering the fourth round of the competition. India's Yuki Bhambri is in action along with America's Robert Galloway in the second round of the Men's doubles against the Kiwi-Croatian pair of Michael Venus and Nikola Mektić. Bhambri-Galloway have taken a lead after earning an early break point in the first set. Lorenzo Musetti has taken a two-set lead against Argentina's Mariano Navone in the third round fixture of the men's singles. The Italian has comfortably dominated his opponent as he's all set to ease into the next round. Olga Danilović is putting up a fight in the second set as she breaks Sabalenka for the second time in the match to bring the scoreline to 2-2. The Serb is not willing to go down without a fight and is trying her best to make a comeback in the match. Aryna Sabalenka has extended her lead to 3-1 in the second set as she breaks her Serbian counterpart. Olga Danilović has been trying her best to match the intensity of the World Number 1 but is being forced into making errors, allowing Sabalenka to edge closer to a comprehensive win. Olga Danilović has managed to make a comeback in the second set as she wins the second game against Aryna Sabalenka. It's the first time in the match that the duo are level in a set. However, the Serbian will have to play out her skin to beat the top seed Sabalenka. Aryna Sabalenka has won the opening set 6-2 against Olga Danilovic at Court Philippe Chatrier. After taking a 5-0 lead, the World No.1 dropped her serve once, but she recovered to earn her third break and closed out the set comfortably. Qinwen Zheng is through to the fourth round of the French Open after beating 18-year Victoria Mboko of Canada 6-3, 6-4. In the fourth round, she will face the winner of the match between Luidmila Samsonova and Dayana Yastremska. Aryna Sabalenka hasn't taken much time to set the ball rolling against Olga Danilovic. The World No.1 has won an early break of serve to go 2-0 up in the first set. Pressure on Danilovic to earn the break back. Amanda Anisimova had to fight out her skin against Clara Tauson after the first set went into the tie-break. In the end, the 23-year-old American won the set 7-6 (4). Is there fight left in Tauson, whose valiant efforts in the first set went in vain. Mariano Navonne has won the opening set 6-4 against eighth seed Lorenzo Musetti. Pressure built on Musetti after he dropped his serve early, after which he couldn't bounce back. Time for the second set. After losing the first set 3-6, Victoria Mboko looked in trouble against Qinwen Zheng. After dropping her serve early, the 18-year-old found herself in a rabbit hole. But she has managed to get the break back. Can she now earn another break to make Zheng work hard. Zheng can't afford to take a backseat just yet. World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka will soon be in action against Olga Danilovic of Serbia in the third round match at Philippe Chatrier. Danilovic, who partnered Novak Djokovic in the United Cup last year, will meet Sabalenka for the first time in her career. Qinwen Zheng has taken the first set 6-3 against 18-year-old Victoria Mboko. After dropping her serve in the fifth game, allowing her opponent to bounce back, Zheng earned her second break of the set. Can Mboko storm back or will the experience of Zheng overpower her? In another match on Court 14, Amanda Anisimova of the United States is locking horns with Clara Tauson of Switzerland. The 23-year-old American hasn't had the best of campaigns on clay this season, but found some momentum with straight-set wins in the first two rounds. 8th seed Lorenzo Musetti is under slight pressure as Argentina's Mariano Navone has an early break in the opening set. Navonne has never been to the fourth round of any Grand Slam, but has given himself a slight opening on Court Suzanne Lenglen. Paris Olympics gold medallist and 2024 Australian Open runner-up Qinwen Zheng is currently up against Victoria Mboko of Canada on Court Simonne-Mathiue . Zheng was a break up, but Mboko, playing her maiden Grand Slam Round 3 match, has earned the break back to make it 2-3 in the first set. Danger signs for Qinwen?

Japan, China Agree on Procedures to Resume Seafood Exports to China; Fukushima, Ibaraki, 8 Other Prefs Not Included in Agreement

The Yomiuri Shimbun Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi, left, and agriculture minister Shinjiro Koizumi attend a meeting to expand exports of agricultural, forestry and fishery products on Friday. Tokyo and Beijing have agreed on procedures to resume exports of Japanese seafood products to China, the Japanese government announced Friday. The resumption of exports will apply to marine products from 37 prefectures. However, Fukushima, Ibaraki and 8 other prefectures are not included. Exports are expected to resume in a few months. Following the start of treated water being released into the ocean from the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant in August 2023, the Chinese government imposed a complete ban on the import of Japanese seafood products. 'Marine products are important export items for our country,' said Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi at a press conference on the day. 'This is a major milestone.'

Is Zack Hudson leaving EastEnders and is he really dead after watery car plunge?

Zack Hudson's (James Farrar) fate was left hanging in the balance in EastEnders after the car he was in plummeted off a bridge and into the river. The popular character, a brother of show legend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), was determined to exit Walford after Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) threatened his loved ones. The chef recently discovered that Nicola's youngest Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) is his biological son after he and the Mitchell matriarch had an affair 16 years ago. Knowing that the Mitchells – in particularly Nicola – are dangerous, Zack resolved to get Barney out of dodge, hoping his son's brother Harry (Elijah Holloway) would come through and help him. Upon learning of Nicola's true nature, Harry seemed like he wanted to help Zack but, not wanting to lose his little brother, the mechanic attacked Zack and bundled him into the boot of a car. Teddy (Roland Manookian) intervened, giving chase and – upon catching up with him -talked sense into Harry, who relented and allowed Zack out of the boot. Zack was subsequently declared dead by all those present on the night of the accident, but – as we soap fans know too well – no body can often equate to no death. So is Zack really dead? Be warned EastEnders fans, spoilers follow for Thursday's (May 29) episode, which is now available to stream on iPlayer. No, Zack is not dead. In fact, he's very much alive! To our knowledge, he's not leaving the show – especially in the wake of Thursday's episode. As Barney processed the revelation that Zack is his father, he shared a heart-to-heart with Teddy, who assured him that he will always be his dad – blood relative or not. Barney subsequent sought support from Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). As they discussed the events of the day in question, a drenched Zack entered the property! More Trending Everyone was left in shock, believing Zack to have perished in the watery car plunge, but the chef is alive and well. He urged Barney to reconsider having Nicola in his life and instead come away with him but confused Barney instead raced into the Square, where Nicola asked him what he wants. Barney told her that he wants everything to go back to the way it was as he, Nicola, Teddy and Harry returned home to No. 1 to play a board game, much to the chagrin of Zack. EastEnders return 'from the dead' in early release as week reaches explosive end

This article contains spoilers for tonight's episode of EastEnders, which airs on BBC One at 7.30pm or can be streamed on iPlayer now. Secrets have been unearthed, truths have been told and one local arrived home from 'beyond the grave' in the conclusion of another dramatic week in Albert Square. The Mitchells were reeling from Vicki Fowler's (Alice Haig) bombshell, as a stunned Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) took in the fact Teddy (Roland Manookian) isn't his father. Ordering everyone out of the house, Barns' demanded some alone time with the man who raised him and had some serious questions about his upbringing. The two had a heart to heart, breaking down in one another's arms. When Teddy explained that he had no intentions of telling him the truth about his paternity, and hoped to continue living a normal life, Barney was deeply hurt. He told his 'dad' that he was sick of so many secrets being brushed under the carpet at No. 1, and wanted full transparency on what had blown them all apart in recent weeks. Teddy opened up about Shireen Bashar's death and Nicola's (Laura Doddington) involvement, and Barney was disgusted. He began to ponder whether Teddy had ever doubted whether he was really his child, given so many differences between them. Full of emotional, Teddy admitted that he had no idea, and has also suffered a huge loss. Barney needed some time to think, and rushed out. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Elsewhere, the aforementioned zombie emerged into Walford. It is, of course, Zack Hudson (James Farrar), who revealed to his nearest and dearest that he didn't drown in the epic lake stunt after all. What he didn't realise was that Barney was right in front of him, and he struggled to find the words to speak to his son. After keeping it secret for so long, he hadn't actually considered how he would broach the subject. As the atmosphere defrosted, and Zack dried off from his icy plunge, he detailed how he discovered the jaw-dropping revelation. Zack also told Barney about Nicola's attempts to silence him, branding her 'evil' and a 'psychopath'. Explaining that he didn't think he was safe with the Mitchells, he divulged his plan for them to flee to Inverness and hoped Barns' would be on board. Spooked by the prospect of a man he barely knows whisking him off to the other side of the country, he darted out onto Bridge Street and was caught between two families. Nicola, Teddy and Harry (Elijah Holloway) were stood on one side, with Zack and Vicki on the other. Both fathers pleaded their case, trying to bargain for Barney's attention. More Trending As a physical fight began to emerge, Nicola ordered the men to stop and told them to consider what the teen wanted. It was his choice. But who will he pick? Birth father Zack, or the man who raised him, Teddy? Metro has decided to keep this spoiler a secret, and you can find out yourself by tuning into the episode. ‘I'm going to pick the best players': Mal Meninga's Ashes message to Kalyn Ponga after last year's Kangaroos snub

Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga says Kalyn Ponga's decision to make himself unavailable for the national side in 2024 won't rule him out of contention for the Ashes squad later this year. Meninga has one eye on the massive series that returns after a lengthy hiatus, but his main focus for now is on State of Origin, which kicks off in Brisbane on Wednesday night. Ponga is back in the No.1 jersey where he's hoping to fire after a quiet couple of months for the Knights, with the former Dally M Medal winner in the mix to earn a Kangaroos call-up if he can dominate the series. The 27-year-old caused a stir last year when he turned down a potential Kangaroos debut so he could focus on the Knights, only to change his mind following public backlash. Meninga didn't pick Ponga in the squad for the Pacific Championships, with Dylan Edwards doing a wonderful job as Australia beat Tonga in the final. And while last year's situation was far from ideal, Meninga won't let it cloud his judgment if Ponga excels in Origin and puts his hand up to represent Australia amid speculation he could one day play for New Zealand. 'One of the reasons he didn't want to play last year for the Kangaroos was because of fatigue,' the Immortal said. 'We had those conversations last year, so that's not going to impinge on him playing for Australia. 'If he comes out and kills it for Queensland … I'm going to pick the best players (at the end of the year) to represent their country. 'Because of conversations we had in the past, that's not going to reflect in the future.' Meninga is big on respect for the jersey, and he's also promoting respect for everyone and encouraging footy fans to drink in moderation during the Origin period. The rugby league legend has teamed up with DrinkWise to encourage fans to celebrate the action responsibly at the ground, the pub or at home with friends and family. 'It's a great initiative to use Origin and rugby league as a vehicle to talk about social change around moderation or drinking responsibly,' he said. 'Respect for each other when you go to a game or you're at home is really important. For me, respect is part of our behaviours and standards for the Kangaroos, so that marries up really well for me. 'Players in the modern age do drink responsibly, or some don't drink at all because they understand the responsibility to their community, club and mates. 'Drinking in moderation is a smart move for their careers, and as I said before, respect is pretty prevalent in our game.' Meninga has seen players like Cameron Munster give up alcohol and the positive impact that's had on and off the field, with the former Maroons coach backing the Queensland star's halves partner to fire on Wednesday night. Daly Cherry-Evans hasn't been at his brilliant best as the world waits for him to sign with the Roosters, but Meninga is tipping him to put that behind him when he pulls on the maroon jersey. 'He's our leader, and that's what leaders do – they've got to lead from the front,' he said. ''Chez' won't be worried by what's going on because he's got so much experience. All this chatter off the field isn't going to worry him or the team. 'They might have had a quick chat about it at the start of camp, but I reckon they've moved on past all that. 'Whatever Daly does for next year isn't going to have an impact on his or Queensland's performance.' Meninga didn't pick Cherry-Evans in the Australian side last year, with Mitch Moses and Tom Dearden combining brilliantly. The way Cherry-Evans handled his demotion impressed Meninga, who has been pleased to see the veteran playmaker work so enthusiastically with Dearden even though he took his place in the team. 'He cares about the players around him,' Meninga said. 'Even if there's another half who he's in competition with, he's always there to help out. He's got that team mindset, which you need.'
