Oklahoma Sooners earn commitment from 2026 blue chip offensive lineman
Oklahoma Sooners earn commitment from 2026 blue chip offensive lineman The Oklahoma Sooners added their ninth pledge in the 2026 recruiting class on Monday, picking up a commitment from four-star offensive lineman Noah Best. Best is the No. 15 interior offensive lineman in the class according to Rivals and is also a four-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry ranking. Best marks the second offensive line commitment in the class, joining Will Conroy, another interior offensive line prospect in 2026. Best chose the Sooners over offers from Missouri and Kansas State and had a total of 24 Power Four offers across the SEC, Big Ten, ACC, and Big 12. It's a big win for Bill Bedenbaugh and the Oklahoma Sooners, who add another physical interior offensive lineman of the future. Best is a force at the point of attack and imposes his will on defenders. He moves really well in space, displaying the athleticism to pull across the formation and climb to the second level in the run game. As a pass protector, Best displays really good footwork. He doesn't allow defenders to beat him around the edge. He's a strong player. Once he gets his hands on the rusher, they don't go anywhere. Although he projects as a guard at the collegiate level, his experience and the talent he has shown at offensive tackle will provide Best the position flexibility to make an impact at multiple spots along the offensive line. Oklahoma Sooners earn crystal ball for 2026 offensive lineman Can the Oklahoma Sooners land 2026 offensive lineman Noah Best? The Oklahoma Sooners continue to create momentum in the 2026 recruiting class after a successful Junior Day last weekend. Oklahoma earned a commitment from four-star wide receiver Daniel Odom and were predicted to land four-star defensive end Kevin Ford Jr. Now the Sooners are gaining momentum in the recruitment of another key target, offensive lineman Noah Best. Sean Williams of Power Mizzou and 247Sports issued a crystal ball prediction favoring the Oklahoma Sooners in Best's recruitment. Best is a three-star prospect out of Midlothian, Texas. He plays offensive tackle for his high school squad but is considered an interior offensive lineman at the collegiate level. He holds 23 offers and is currently being pursued by 22 Power Four programs. The first thing that stands out about Best is his physicality. He's a force at the point of attack and imposes his will on defenders. Best moves really well in space. He doesn't allow defenders to beat him around the edge. He's a strong player. Once he gets his hands on the rusher, they don't go anywhere. His physicality and ability to move will be his greatest assets as he moves to the collegiate level. Though he projects as a guard, his experience at offensive tackle gives him the position flexibility to make an impact at multiple spots along the offensive line.
